zhouzhou33I really loved the hotel's decor style, though the room was a bit small. Honestly, there's no real need to specifically book a view room... The front desk had a Chinese-speaking receptionist who was very warm and attentive. Plus, the hotel even had someone dedicated to helping guests book popular restaurants, which was a great touch!

The hotel's location is excellent. It's right by Odori Park, and the airport shuttle drops you off directly at the entrance. There's also a subway station nearby, and you can even walk to Tanukikoji shopping arcade.
The front desk provides complimentary skincare sample sets based on the length of your stay, and you can pick up a wide variety of disposable toiletries from a station by the elevators on the first floor.
The room itself was great overall – small but perfectly formed, with everything you need.
One thing to note is that rooms aren't cleaned daily; it seems to be once every four nights, which the front desk will inform you about. For my three-night stay, there was no daily cleaning, but every morning before 10 AM, I could hang a fabric bag with my used towels and pajamas, as well as my trash, on the doorknob outside my room. Staff would then replace them with fresh ones on the door.

lxxzt3The room was quite spacious, but the bathroom counter was too low. At 185cm, I had to bend over significantly just to wash my face. You can tell it's an older, established hotel, and the facilities are still quite convenient. The front desk wasn't particularly warm, and the service was just average. Also, they didn't provide any extra bottled water, which I found really unacceptable.

Lyndsay_XPros:
Location:
1. Convenient transportation: After arriving at New Chitose Airport, take the JR train. Exit Sapporo South Gate on the first floor to the plaza, cross the street, and turn right to reach the hotel. You can also take the underground shopping street APIA, but you'll need to climb about ten steps, and I couldn't find an accessible elevator. If you have luggage, it's easier to walk above ground. If you're taking a bus, there's a stop about 200 meters away. When we arrived, the adjacent block was under construction, making the ground uneven and inconvenient for pushing luggage, but it should be fine under normal circumstances. However, the bus to the airport stops directly downstairs from the hotel, which is very convenient. Be mindful of the schedule; over two days, I saw many people lining up, and it seemed unlikely that everyone would make their intended bus. You'll likely need to queue for an extra round.
2. Convenient for shopping and dining:
Daimaru is directly opposite the hotel, Stella is next to Daimaru, and Tokyu is diagonally opposite Stella – all visible from the South Gate Plaza. The entrance to the underground shopping street APIA is right at the hotel's doorstep (stairs). I recommend taking the elevator to B1 for direct access to APIA; it's extremely convenient on rainy days. The underground street connects directly to all nearby shopping malls and the JR station. The underground street itself has plenty of food and shops. For food, just follow the local office workers in line for authentic local flavors (be warned, the local ramen shops are incredibly salty, choose carefully). There are also many restaurants nearby, but not many drugstores. The two or three scattered stores are small, suitable for replenishment but not for a big haul.
3. Abundant and surprising breakfast: We entered and exited Sapporo, and compared to other places, this hotel's buffet breakfast had a good variety and quality. The seafood options for the DIY seafood rice bowl were also plentiful and promptly refilled. Friends who enjoy a rich breakfast should not be disappointed.
In addition to the above obvious advantages, here are a few points about the hotel to consider when making your choice:
1. The front desk is on the 7th floor, accessible by two direct elevators that require card access. During peak hours, you might have to wait, and the speed and size of the elevators are average.
2. During check-in, the front desk insisted that everyone use the self-service machines. However, the system is cumbersome and prone to bugs. When we checked in, there were three machines and four groups of guests, including locals, and everyone eventually needed human assistance. The front desk staff member started with a smile, but by the end, I felt it was commendable she maintained her politeness. I don't know what the owner is thinking; there are plenty of front desk staff, so why add to everyone's burden?
3. The room size is normally small. The hallway and lobby are relatively new, while the rooms are slightly older but acceptably clean.
4. The price is slightly higher than similar hotels in the surrounding area (if you consider the convenience of transportation and shopping, this price difference is acceptable).

We’ve stayed here for 7 nights. Which was a bit longer stay for Sapporo. However as the weather was so bad with heavy snow, so we did enjoy our stays in hotel during the snowy weather. The breakfast is so great and we expect it every morning, as it includes a variety of foods so you always can find something to enjoy. All staffs are very friendly and welcoming, especially two male & senior chefs at ramen and omelette. We also bought spa in our room rate, so every night we did enjoy a pleasant spa( though it’s not hot spring). In front of hotel, there is a small mall - BIVI , which with some good restaurants ,nice cafe (Gentle Bagel) and coop. Even at the heavy snowing days, you have no worries to spend time in. B1 with very practical laundry service , costs are fairly . If you have budget, you can choose only room (without breakfast and spa) plans, which is with very CP, strongly recommended.

YangmaoshanThe room was quite spacious, especially for a Japanese hotel – definitely one of the largest I've stayed in. The location is excellent; it's just a short walk to Nijo Market, the large supermarket in Susukino, Tanukikoji shopping street, and major shopping malls. There are tons of restaurants around the hotel, so you can pretty much find anything you're craving. The hotel breakfast is good, and if you love sashimi, you'll absolutely adore what they offer. If I go to Sapporo again, I'll definitely choose this hotel.

ppe16Had a great stay here! The bathroom and hallways are incredibly clean and well-maintained. The room itself is comfortable and comes with a small table and chair, which is very convenient.
Downstairs in the lobby, they provide an amenity bar where you can pick up extra toiletries to take up to your room. There is also a Lawson convenience store right next to the hotel, making it super handy for quick snacks and drinks.
As for parking, the hotel's own parking lot has very limited spaces, but don't worry—there are plenty of public parking lots available right around the area. Highly recommended for a convenient and clean stay in Susukino!

I recently stayed at Hotel Mystays Sapporo Susukino and overall had a comfortable and convenient experience that suited my travel style perfectly. The hotel is located in the heart of Susukino, Sapporo’s most vibrant entertainment and dining district, which makes it an excellent base for exploring the city. It is about a five to seven minute walk from Susukino Subway Station, giving easy access to other parts of Sapporo, including Odori Park and Sapporo Station. The surrounding area is filled with restaurants, ramen shops, convenience stores, cafes, and nightlife spots, so finding something to eat at any hour is never a problem. Despite being in a lively neighborhood, the hotel itself feels calm and secure once inside.
The room was compact, as expected for a Japanese city hotel, but it was thoughtfully designed to maximize space. I stayed in a standard room, which had a comfortable bed, a small desk, a flat-screen television, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, and air conditioning. There was enough space to open a medium-sized suitcase, although travelers with very large luggage might find it slightly tight. The bathroom was clean and functional, with a combined bathtub and shower unit, along with basic toiletries provided. Water pressure was good, and hot water was consistent, which was especially appreciated during the colder Hokkaido weather.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel was satisfactory. Housekeeping maintained the room well, and the common areas such as the lobby and hallways were tidy. The staff members were polite and professional, and while not all were fluent in English, communication was smooth and efficient. Check-in and check-out processes were straightforward and quick.
One highlight of the stay was the breakfast buffet, which featured a mix of Japanese and Western options. There were rice dishes, miso soup, grilled fish, salads, bread, eggs, and several local Hokkaido ingredients. It was a convenient way to start the day, especially before heading out for sightseeing.
The hotel also offers practical amenities such as free Wi-Fi, coin-operated laundry machines, vending machines, and luggage storage services. These facilities make it especially suitable for mid-length stays or travelers moving between cities.
Overall, Hotel Mystays Sapporo Susukino delivers solid value for money. While it is not a luxury property, it provides comfort, cleanliness, and a prime location at a reasonable price. I would recommend it to solo travelers, couples, or friends looking for an affordable and well-located hotel in Sapporo.

Guest UserThe location is very convenient. Easy access to underground shopping, stations, restaurants, and convenient stores. Close to tourist areas by walking. Quiet rooms. Limited TV channels choices. The restaurant for breakfast is overrated. Which there weren’t much choices at all. It’s shouldn’t price that high. It doesn’t provide water bottle, but there is kettle. It provides basic skin care by DHC and mouth wash. Which I appreciated. The bathroom washing sink is small, I splashed the water everywhere. Overall, the single room price is reasonable.

We stayed for 2 nights, and had a pleasant stay. The hotel is 3 mins walk to Susukino and 5 mins walk to 狸小路 with many convenient stores and restaurants around. The front desk staff helped us to check in with the check in machine and the process was fast. We like the beds and room size, and the free flow of Haskap juice throughout afternoon and evening. The drawbacks are the front desk staff have limited English and didn’t understand our request to have a cleanup in our room as we were sleeping late and missed morning cleanup. The nearest airport shuttle bus stop across from hotel abest Sapporo is 4 blocks away and we have to take a taxi around 950yen with luggages to get there in the slushy snow. There are many Thai tourists in both evenings when we went back to hotel so the hotel is quite popular and crowded. Nevertheless the hotel was able to give us a high floor room away from elevators per our request and we had a quiet room which we appreciate a lot. Will definitely consider staying again given the hotel room is a good price!
