This is my 4th time at the hotel and by far the worst. The room was far lower quality than my last 3 stays. Would probably not stay again based on this. The price for what I got was extremely disappointing when usually it’s fantastic

The bell boy service is really embarazing, they want to help and touch the luggage 5 Meters before your final destination. Nevertheless in the critical points, is not possible to find one of them. They are every time in other places or occupied talking with other bell boys.

Stayed 7 nights with my partner at this wonderful hotel, which is centrally located (10 minute walk to the main Zocalo square with lots of shopping nearby) and has a very good bar/restaurant on-site. The rooms are new with firm beds, thick towels and linens, a hot shower, daily maid service, a medium-sized safe that can hold a tablet, good climate control, and a Nespresso coffee machine. A filtered water dispenser to refill water bottles is quite the advantage in the lobby. The gym on the 2nd floor is modern with very usable equipment, and is located next to an outdoor terrace. The breakfast buffet was very good with several choices. Antonio and Nayla provided excellent customer service during breakfast, and Antonio also alerted me to breakfast options that were healthier for my sensitive stomach. The lobby staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I rate this hotel an 8 or 9 out of 10 and would definitely stay here again. That being said, I would like to offer some suggestions to Novotel to make the hotel room a bit better for travelers. This new, minimal hotel room concept means that there are no dresser drawers for storing clothing, and there’s only one spot in the hanging metal “closet” for storing one suitcase - the other person must put their suitcase on the floor . One must live out of their suitcase during the entire stay, which is very annoying. This can easily be remedied by having more hangers (10 instead of 5?) in the closet, and having one or two folding luggage racks available. Also, another side table is needed beside the bed, since there’s only one. The person sleeping on the left side of the bed must put their water, glasses, phone, etc. on the floor, since there’s no side table, or place their items far away on the desk. Also, the thick towels keep falling off the three very lame wooden towel “knobs”. These knobs need to be replaced or extended outward in order to be able to hold a load. I would hang up my wet towel and it would immediately fall onto the floor. We fought with this the entire week. The hotel would save a lot of money by not having to wash towels every day that have fallen onto the floor. Additionally, perhaps for an upcharge, a small refrigerator could be placed in the room. These minor issues did not affect our overall satisfaction of this hotel.

The location of the hotel is good, there are many restaurants around. Because it has been a few years, some facilities in the room can see the traces of time. The service is quite satisfactory, the service at the checkin at the front desk and the outdoor restaurant on the second floor is not bad (pictures 2 and 3 are outdoor restaurants, I ate at the hotel when I arrived late, the food is not exquisite but tastes good). The concierge is more ordinary, with strange eyes and arrogant attitude. What is more excessive is the waiter in the buffet breakfast room. The room rate includes breakfast, but the guest still needs to sign a bill. We gave a tip of 50peso, but unexpectedly, the waiter added a 1 in front of 50 without authorization, and it became 150. It can be seen from the photo that the 1 in front of 50 is quite abrupt, and the writing and color are different from 50. (It’s also our own fault. We only wrote the tip, and didn’t write the total amount to save trouble, because we didn’t intend to give a tip. The waiter just took the coffee pot and asked if he wanted coffee. Apart from that, he didn’t provide anything else. Serve). After staying in the tipping culture for so many years, this is the first time I have encountered such a thing.

We were working in Mexico City and as always stayed at the Hyatt Regency. The staff is very supportive no matter what silly thing we need. This time it was shredding extra paperwork - note there is a shredder in the business center. The food in the main restaurant is tasty. I particularly liked the short rib tacos, but be warned, they are juicy so be prepared to make a mess. The rooms are large, the closets ample, the how water in the shower is relaxing. Overall a great property.

I stayed at the Westin Santa Fe hotel during my first business trip to Mexico City. Staff was very friendly upon check-in, my Bonvoy status was acknowledged, and I was upgraded to a suite on the 8th floor. The room was spacious, clean, and functional. There was also a welcome snack in my room. Breakfast was good, but the buffet was not as extensive as other international Westins and Marriotts. Choices included typical breakfast fare plus some local fruits and juices. Needless to say, staff was friendly and responsive. The executive lounge had a decent spread, the staff there was extremely friendly, and the outdoor views were spectacular. Now for the hiccups: - the rooftop pool is slightly larger than a bathtub, yes somewhat of an exaggeration but definitely not to scale for this large property. The kicker - it was covered all three nights during my stay, with no sign or explanations - someone claiming to be from the front desk called late one night, asking me to verify my last name [the front desk clerk verified that they did call me the previous night] - a uniformed hotel staff knocked at my door after 11pm the same night as the phone call to tell me my phone was off the hook (it wasn't!). What a weird incident! - there were several restaurant charges on my folio totaling over $600 that I saw as I was checking out. The front desk staff did make the adjustments to remove them, but it was very disconcerting especially considering the two incidents above I will consider staying at this property again primarily because of my room and the friendly staff, hopefully there will not be any hiccups next time around.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very modern and clean, it has TVs that you can cast Netflix etc from your phone on. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. It is in a nice location and I felt safe in the area and the hotel without my husband and with three small children. There is a mall and Walmart within walking distance and there are no problems getting an Uber taxi or food delivered. It’s easy and cheap to get around to the main sites. The negatives are they don’t have fridges in the rooms, ice is available but they give it to you in a plastic bag rather than an ice bucket. We needed the ice to keep baby bottles cool, our plug on the sink didn’t close and we had nothing else to put them in. The second negative is that the cleaners keep taking the spare room keys from the slot by the door even if you haven’t pushed it down to activate the lights when you are out it will be taken. The third negative is about the Starbucks at the hotel. There is a young man who works there and he just couldn’t get the orders right, I went there three times he was working and each one of those drinks were incorrect. It really annoyed me that he would would then strongly push for a tip when he isn’t great at his job. The one day my 4 year old ordered a strawberries and cream Frappuccino and he got served a small cappuccino! The last negative is that the a/c is terrible, it doesn’t get very cold but makes the air quality terrible. Our noses were all dried out and cut by the time we left.
GGuest UserThe front desk is very friendly, especially the uncle in the restaurant who can speak a word or two in Chinese. He knew that we were from China and needed tissues and brought them to us himself. The uncle at the front desk will also help with luggage and call taxis. The staff are very nice.
The only drawback is that there is backflow in the bathroom, dirt will be found the next day, and a toothbrush is found in the toilet (I am sure it was not caused by us). Maybe it's just a problem with this room, I hope this can be improved

I stay in this hotel because of the convenience that connects to the hospital ABC Campus Santa Fe, every 4 months I stay 5-10 days in this hotel because family member been treated at the hospital. Always had an issue with the hotel they accept pets and dogs barking or jumping to your balcony, not respecting do NOT DISTURB sign sick people resting, etc, but this time is unacceptable and completely disgusting, I arrived with my 5 year old and 70 year old mother at 1am, to get ready for surgery next day and find that my room has a used condom on the nightside table, and there was nobody in the hotel to solve the issue, nobody to clean, no managers, this and a motel makes no difference. I do not recommend this hotel at all for families, and of course is not ok for a sick people being treated at the hospital because the cleanness is terrible. They do not value high status Hyatt rewards loyalty, not even an apology from the staff. Staff pretty rude “Do not complain with me I did not do it”This hotel is a disgrace. No cleaning crew.

GGuest UserLikes: First I would like to mention that the staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. Location, location, location..... If you like to be in Zona Rosa, this place is perfect. The rooms, they actually all suite style rooms.... There are so many amazing restaurant option within a 3 block radios and the prices are very affordable. I think we ate our way through Mexico City and NO stomach issues, I may add Disliked: The hotel didn't provide a coffee maker, so the second room was useless to us. The bathroom as a bit small and had a step in bath/shower combo. The room was very clean and housekeeping was very friendly and able to give extra water bottles if needed. We didn't but our friends pre-purchased the breakfast option and they said it was not worth the $8.00 a day per person they paid extra. We had had an amazing breakfast for less than $5.00 a person just around the corner. I must admit the location was great of this hotel BUT right around the corner there are bars that play LOUD piping dance music till 4AM (Sundays 2AM) EVERY NIGHT. Our room was on the 9th floor and we didn't get to sleep till the music stopped. Even with ear plugs we felt the base..... Most of our friends had their rooms on the 4th and 5th floor and it must have been even louder there. Needless to say, most of us slept in till noon or 1pm..... If it wasn't for the extremely loud music, our stay at this property would have been great. AGAIN, the staff was amazing and hats off to them for dealing with those other guests that had been complaining about the noise...

JJ & AGreat location. Accessible.
The hotel itself is a museum, and theyve got a fancy music bar. Also has a good restaurant.
Room service was 24/7 which is excellent for jetlag.
The room however is quite dated. Bits of problems with the shower, but it's hot and cold.
Frontdesk and room service speaks english.
GGuest UserLocated in the city center and really convenient to take the subway just next door to ibis. That’s line 3. Spend 5 Pesos to move around in Mexico City. 5 minutes away to the Park and 10 minutes to Place of Art. Three Chinese restaurants and 7/11 , supermarket next to hotel. GGuest UserI've stayed at this property before not sure if management has changed. I was really impressed on my first visit in 2020, and last year I notice changes, but was hoping for improvement this year. Overall the hotel is good for the price / location. I think they could make a few improvements. I'm not sure if they are under staff where the halls aren't vacuumed or tons of smalls details around the walls and doors don't look clean or touched up cosmetically. The furniture inside my room was stained. The Wifi worked great, the check in and check out process was easy. I took photos so I can maybe share with management. Overall don't hesitate to stay at this place!

GGuest UserWe needed to book a last minute overnight stay in Mexico City, The Camino Real was about 250 + tax , Hilton about the same. WE was offering about half price . Good decision pickup at airport 3 mins to WE . Excellent shuttle driver helped with bags . Quick check in with a smile. Luggage up to nice clean room ,plush bed ,rainfall shower with lots of pressure. Great seafood restaurant. They have 2 shuttle buses that leave every 15 mins or like us they just loaded us and dropped us off right at our gate. Way better than shelping our bags from the Camino of the Hilton. This is the way to go . And wife is happy.
