Hotel Zur Muhle

Have visited Buxtehude many times in the past 16 years or so, always staying with relatives. Due to illness we had to book a hotel in the town. We'd passed this hotel on many occasions but really didn't know what to expect. Reviews were very good so we booked in for 4 nights. From the very start we were made welcome, and our experience of staff throughout our stay was they wanted to work there and that they wanted you to enjoy your stay. All staff I had dealings with had very good english and were very friendly. .Breakfast was a buffet with hot and cold food and you could have eggs cooked to order if you so wished. Bread rolls super fresh as was all the produce. We had excellent accommodation (top of the building) which was clean and very comfortable. Had to walk to the last two flights of stairs but the accommodation and rooms were worth. The only criticism I have is control of the TV is still a mystery to me!! The Hotel is in the centre of the town and there are plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants to go to. The railway station was a pleasant 15 minute walk up the mainstream and we used the €9.00 rail ticket to good effect with trains direct to Hamburg and a day trip to Cuhaven. We really enjoyed our stay here and will certainly be back again, as long as our need to come to Buxtehude is still there. Like to thank all the staff for their help this week, made us feel so welcome.
