There was an obvious and large stain on my bedsheet when I checked in the first day. I wonder if the house keeper had it changed. At one late night, there was a false alarm going off. Many customers gathered at the lobby for 15 minutes. Finally, a staff just told us the fact without any apologies. What a poor quality hotel it is. Last but not least, over the 4 night stay, the wifi in my room was not working. No remedy was offered. It was blamed on the cyclone, but the wifi in the lobby was normal .

The unit had a range hood but no range The power points were placed where a contortionist skills were required to access Although there was sufficient space for a full sized fridge, there was only a bar fridge with a broken rack in the bottom. Lost a full bottle of wine when it dropped out and hit the floor The bathroom was tired and the paint was peeling There was signs of water damage along the skirting boards The one PowerPoint that could be seen and accessed had no face plate and appeared burnt out, it didn’t work The reception staff were very helpful and gave us an extension cord for my husband’s CPAP machine but that was unsafe as it trailed across the room Finally we were shown where the power points were located. The most ridiculous design I have ever seen over several years of travel. Under the fixed side tables and unable to be accessed!!! Both remotes were held together with gaffer tape. There were no bedside lamps. The door lock was cheap and could easily have been broken into. All in all not my best experience but the reception staff deserve a star for their helpfulness. Would not recommend this hotel.

Sunshine tower is amazing. I often come to Cairns. I used to book Hilton near the main beach because I was too lazy to walk. It is really worth staying in Sunshine Tower. It is like an apartment. There is everything in the room. I can also go to Coles to buy food and heat it up. The front desk is very friendly and the environment is very comfortable. I greet the sun as soon as I open the window every morning. I will continue to live here in the future!

The room is relatively old and it takes ten or twenty minutes to walk from the city and the pier.

It is convenient to rent a car next to it. The room is also quite big.

A very bad accommodation experience!!! When we arrived at Sunshine Tower Hotel at 10pm, the door was closed. We called (luckily we could still communicate in English) and found out that we had to press the electronic code lock at the door to enter. We couldn't find the key after entering the lobby. After communicating for a long time, we finally understood that the room key was locked in the code box on the wall. When we entered the room, the facilities were far inferior to those of Southern Cross Hotel. We checked the note paper and found that the check-in time was 8am-8pm, not 14:00-00:00 (next day) hours given by Ctrip. The hotel is also far from the city center and feels like it is in the suburbs. In short, Ctrip provided wrong information and the hotel was not satisfactory.

The room is relatively large and has a microwave and tableware that can heat food and milk. good! I requested a mountain view room after reading the reviews. The scenery in the morning was indeed beautiful, but the mountain view room faces the street and it will be noisy when large cars pass by.

We chose this place because we had to catch a plane. We rented a car and drove. It was more convenient. The hotel staff was very polite and upgraded us to a mountain view suite. Both the bedroom and the living room can see the mountain view. It is very beautiful. Walk into the room It's very comfortable in an instant, and the scenery is charming. Friends who want to book Cairns can choose this one, and the price is relatively affordable. Recommended

The manager is very nice and helps with various cultural and sports issues.
