I don’t believe in online dating anymore😂The chairs on the balcony of the hotel costing $109 a night are all dusty. I asked the hotel manager to change one and it’s still the same. He also explained to me that it’s weathered and not dirty. There are hairs on it I'm really going to vomit 🤮

I stayed in Room 207 which has a view overlooking the Nile. It had a good clean shower and toilet. The TV is kind of old but bluntly I don't go on holiday to watch TV. The hotel is older and in future updates I would like to see universal plugs. The Bed and furnature were comfortable. My only complaint if you are a business traveller that room did not have a good desk for working on. But the is a Starbucks on the corner or better still go to the Sufi Bookstore and Cafe which is in walking distance. The staff were helpful. The gym is quite good for a hotel gym. Good basic supply of free weights and treadmill machines. If you are a big lifter you would have to seek an outside gym. I read some older reviews that the hotel was not clean. I can say my room was very clean. Zamelek is a nice place to be based because you can walk around the island to various restaurants.

You get a room and that is all and not a very good one at at that. The room had seen better days as it probably has not been renovated in decades. The TV that worked with one channel in Arabic and a remote that didn’t work. The tv was an old Grundig from the 1990’s. The wifi worked ok sometimes and not at all most of the time. The room had a Kitchenette that included a steam kettle. No coffee, no tea supplied. I thought breakfast was included but it wasn’t. Apparently it wasn’t included in my room purchase. It wasn’t a cheap purchase so I would hate to think whatever the more expensive package would cost. I was charged an extra 100 EGP for a breakfast that was very minimal. I tried to get the front desk to arrange a taxi for me. The front desk person told me to go out front and hail a cab. He simply walked away from me. Did he not know how difficult it is for a non Arabic speaking person to talk to a non English speaking cab driver. My advice to remember that foreigners need your help. My advice to anyone out there. Book another hotel. You pay 4 star prices for 1 star accommodation.

We stayed one night at this hotel and it is the worst experience ever, very dirty, full of dust and dirt and the carpet is very disgusting!! The washroom is yellow-stained with dirt that’s so nauseating. The staff are very rude and disrespectful. The moment you walk in you feel the bad and negative vibes and the rudeness of all the staff starting from the reception to GM assistance. The linens were all wrinkled and full of hair and it was obviously unchanged, when we asked them to change the linen, the staff started cursing and behaving badly. Then we asked them to clean the washroom that was all dirty and the GN assistant said there was no housekeeping. Overall this experience is horrible and we had a nightmare instead.
