Reviews of Hotel Grand Royal Cairo

The staff are very friendly. The bed and bedding were very clean and nice. The breakfast was just adequate, 2 boiled eggs, 1 bread, 1cheese triangle, and 1 jam. Tea or coffee, but no milk for tea. We had to wait 50 minutes for breakfast to arrive. The location is fabulous, in the heart of downtown Cairo. The hotel is a bit tired and we had issues with the waste pipe in the sink, it went all over the floor in the bathroom. It was OK for the money, but stayed in much better places in this location for the same cost.

We stayed 1 night, in between locations, were happy at this hotel. Hotel is in 6th floor, the location is PERFECT. We had a private bathroom across the hall, (I think most bathrooms are in the rooms), the bathroom was huge with a corner tub, and lots of hot water to bath my tired legs. Room had TONS of closet space.

It's on the 6th floor of a building so it may be a little difficult to find, but it's no problem. It's located in the center of town so it's easy to go to restaurants and tourist spots. However, there are some outlets in the room that can be used and some that can't be used, which is a little inconvenient.

The photos on the website are a bit different from the actual ones. Except for the location and name of the hotel, the room conditions are completely different. They are old and poorly clean. Fortunately, I only booked for one day and left immediately after staying for one day.

The hotel staff is great and very attentive, but the facilities are old, there is uncleanliness throughout the building, the shower is small, I didn't like the breakfast, it's always the same.

Hygiene: Not very good, everything else is good, a few hundred meters away from the museum, more than 1 km from Cairo Tower, located in the city center

The network is unstable, and the hot water depends on my mood. The recommended service is three times the market price. The attitude is okay, but only US dollars are charged. The air conditioner cannot heat, and it is often a decoration and cannot be used. The hygiene is very, very average, not good.

The facilities are very, very old. The bed sheets and sofas are very dirty. The WiFi does not work. You have to borrow a hair dryer from the front desk every day. There are many mosquito bites. Lightning protection.
