The service was great, but the breakfast was just okay – mostly Western food, though they did have fried rice and noodles. The room was huge and the decor was absolutely fantastic. The pool was a bit on the small side. It's a good option if you have an early flight from Cairo airport the next day, as it's only about a fifteen-minute drive.

Conveniently located very close to the airport. The interior environment is fantastic, like a forest indoors. The rooms are new and a good size, perfect for business travel. The breakfast is exquisite and worth experiencing.

I guess the higher the expectations, the greater the disappointment. How good could a Waldorf Astoria in Africa possibly be? The service was just terrible! The room reeked of renovation fumes. We had to switch rooms three times that day. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

They kindly extended my check-out time for free. The location is super convenient, less than 10 kilometers from the airport, definitely one of Cairo's top hotels.

Incredibly terrible customer service. As a 5 star hotel, this was not the attitude I expected. My flight got delayed so I went to sit at the lobby to wait for my flight. I had 2 men interrogated me in my face saying that I was not allowed to sit at the lobby when I literally just checked out today. The attitude was disgusting. I never knew the moment I checked out of my hotel room I cannot even sit at the lobby and the way the staff attitude can turn around on me like this. Was looking forward to this stay but now I felt disturbed and disgusted that I stayed here.
Response from Property: Thank you for taking the time to offer your feedback. Please accept our sincere apology if your stay was not up to your expectation. Kindly send us more details (room number, date of stay) on our hotel email address at caiwe.hotel@waldorfastoria.com in order to investigate and take the necessary actions. We hope that what happened will not prevent you from staying with us again and look forward to welcoming you back soon. Although a bit dated, this is probably the pinnacle of old money style in Egypt.
