Iberostar Selection Albufera Park All Inclusive

We stayed at the Iberostar Selection Albufera Park for a week – my wife, our eight-year-old daughter, and I. Overall, our experience was nice, though the weather was not always on our side. **Location and Surroundings** The hotel's location is quite good. It is near a beautiful nature reserve and a well-conserved beach, which made for some lovely surroundings. The park nearby was also a pleasant addition to our stay. **Rooms** The rooms were nice and of a decent size – not too big, not too small. The bathrooms were also satisfactory. The showers were excellent, with consistently hot water and a nice rain shower. However, the room temperature was an issue, as it was a bit too hot all the time. **Dining** - **Terral and Mistral (Buffet Restaurants)**: The buffet restaurants were disappointing. The food was often cold and repetitive, and the restaurants were quite full, making the dining experience less enjoyable. - **Kyknos (Greek Restaurant)**: This was the standout restaurant. We were able to sit inside away from the loud bar area. The food was extraordinary, and the service was slow and paced, allowing for a pleasant dining experience. - **Nopal (Mexican Restaurant)**: The dining experience here was not great. We had to order all courses at once, leading to food piling up on our small table and getting cold. The noise level was high, and the margaritas were terrible. - **Martinete (Spanish Restaurant)**: The food was good but lacked some basic Spanish specialties. The service was extremely slow, with long waits between courses, which made it feel like we were forgotten. - **Tamarindos (Beach Grill & Buffet)**: Unfortunately, this restaurant was closed during our stay. - **Star Cafe**: The only place to get food between main meals, it was always crowded. The limited menu and long lines were a downside. - **Icedream (Ice Cream Parlour)**: The ice cream was nice, and the service was quick, making it a pleasant experience. **Children’s Activities** Our daughter had a good time with the children's activities. She enjoyed the company of the animators, particularly Mario, who was amazing and made her experience fun. **Entertainment** The evening entertainment at 10 PM was always fun but felt compulsory due to the noise level, which made it difficult to sleep at that time. However, it was still enjoyable. **Sports and Wellness Facilities** We used the spa and I went running outside. The spa was okay; I had a good massage, although my wife was less impressed with her foot treatment. Running outside was great, thanks to the beautiful reserve, which provided a lovely environment for my runs. **Service and Staff** The service and staff were exceptional. Everyone was genuinely friendly, authentic, and willing to help. Their cordiality and professionalism were highlights of our stay. **Wi-Fi** The Wi-Fi was really good, and we always had reliable internet access. **Improvements** One area that could use improvement is the food. We have just arrived back from a weeks stay at this beautiful hotel . We were a group of 10 ( 2 families ) with kids all over 18 so this meant we were all able to stay in the adults only star prestige section of the hotel . It can be difficult to find a hotel that caters for older teenagers but this hotel was perfect , the best we have stayed in. Most hotels tend to cater for families with younger children and what is unique about this hotel I think is that is does both . There were lots of families with young children having an amazing time. For us with grown up families we were able to access the fantastic fitness daily programme , between us we did beach sunset yoga , body fit , step, Pilates , spin , sunrise yoga, and lots more . The instructors were all amazing and the quality of the classes high. The gym was fine , and again half of our party used it as well as the pools both inside and out . The beach was amazing and just a stones throw from the hotel down a lovely pathway . We swam in the sea daily and also hired paddleboards which was great fun . My kids had an hour on the jet skis aswell which they loved. Star prestige is a real treat . Wonderful views of the sea from the terrace , cocktails , cava , beer and soft drinks, ice creams , coffee whenever you want them. The staff in the terrace were really friendly and helpful . The rooms were near the terrace and absolutely spotless . The housekeepers do an amazing job . Lovely fresh towels , bedding lovely , gorgeous robes and slippers . The food was outstanding . We ate at the buffet but also the Mexican which was beautiful, the Greek and the Spanish restaurant too . Staff in all restaurants were wonderful and genuinely worked really hard to make the experience a lovely one for us all . We loved them all but especially the Mexican . I was so impressed with the hotel . I could go and on. Grounds are beautiful, spotless and restful . Beautiful flowers and plants . There was a paddle court and basketball courts which was perfect for us and we played daily . The staff are great and nothing too much trouble . We all agreed we would definitely go back . As we had a party if 10 we arranged a personal transfer from the airport and so only took about 40 mins . A special mention to the lady who helped to arrange our table bookings who was so very helpful ( I am a sorry I have forgotten your name , but you have the desk in the reception area). And was always so very helpful . Cafe great , ice cream parlour great too . Will definitely return . Many thanks for a superb holiday

Cleanest hotel Iv ever visited and food was great. What more could you ask for. Rooms beautiful and great for families. Entertainment was entertaining. The kids loved it. Pools are huge with more the enough space for everyone although the towel placing is annoying. This is not the hotels fault it’s the guests. More variety of pool games would have been good. There’s only so much pool carpet you can take. If you have extra suitcase weight take your inflatables with you as the shops will sting you. Staff were so helpful I saw them tackling a lot of problems from picky people extremely well. Supermarkets are only over the road but walk down more the first ones prices are high as they know you will go there. You have access to all facilities in the hotel next door. The beach is a stone throw which is ideal and the sea is crystal clear. The only thing I could moan about is the distance from the airport, if you have small children and silly timed flights. I wish it was closer to Palma airport but you have the benefits of it not being so busy. All in all we have the best most relaxing/ fun filled 2024 holiday! We’ve just got back from a week at this resort and really loved our time there. The place is so beautiful, clean and the staff are fantastic. Our daughter went to star camp for the first time as she’s just turned 4, she loved the variety and the helpers who were super friendly. I would recommend for families with younger children (6 and under), so much to do and perfect location next to a lovely gentle beach. Only downsides for us… our meal at the Spanish restaurant which was a bit slow (we didn’t manage to book the other restaurants) and the business / noise around the poolside, however there are plenty of quiet areas if you need some space (roof pool was fantastic). All in all 5* holiday and we loved it, thank you so much Iberostar Albufera Park!

Just returned from a week here. It ticked every box! The resort is right on the beach, there are two walkways onto the beach. The beach is glorious, clear blue sea and lovely sand. The hotel is perfect for families. The staff work so hard to make sure there is something happening at all times for both children and adults to enjoy. From a foam party to morning yoga. They really do try and ensure there is something for everyone. Check in was easy and quick. Our room was spotless with plenty of space for our family of four. Only downside was the pillows, they aren’t comfortable, so if you like a particular type take your own. Lol. The buffet restaurant has so much choice and again something for everyone. We have members with nut allergies, mostly this is easily seen on the labels. In the separate restaurants (Greek, Spanish and Mexican) it wasn’t so easily figured out. Highly recommend the Greek restaurant, it was our favourite by far and could have eaten there every night. Make sure to book your reservations when you first get there. There is a spa which I went for a massage, it was ok. Nothing spectacular but the staff are helpful and friendly. Again everything is spotless. The pools are great and are cleaned daily. The ground staff work very hard each morning and throughout the day. The hotel tried not to waste anything and I loved its green ethos. There are kids clubs, my children didn’t use them as they were kept busy enough around the pool but it seemed popular. Evening entertainment was better than other places we have stayed on the island. Especially the Disney show, everyone loved it. I can’t applause the staff enough for what long hours they do to keep everyone happy. Special shout out to Rori from the entertainment team, my girls fell in love with her friendly nature. Thanks for a great week. We hope to be back next year

The hotel was really fantastic and a great location for a family holiday. It has all the amenities that you could need for a family holiday. The rooms are spacious, the hotel has many swimming pools, activities, an ice cream stand, annd there is anlso the beach nearby! The buffet restaurants serve amazing food. There is plenty of options so suit everybody from adventurous to picky eaters. It would be impossible to not find a great option for each meal. The staff are all so friendly too. My niece is almost 1 year old and loved Toni our waitress. Toni always gave her attention and got plenty of smiles in return. Borja at the bar was also so friendly and an absolute gentleman. Sofia who was waitress in the bar was another fantastic person. So friendly. She was a star and so nice. I couldn’t name everyone but all the staff were lovely. One improvement could be with the themed restaurants on site. They are really nice. We were 6 adults and 2 kids. But when booking the restaurant it doesn’t make that distinction and simply records 8 people. It doesn’t tell you that a group will be given a set menu and not a la carte. We then got 8 portions of food but still needed a kids menu. It could be done better. But it was a minor issue. Overall a really enjoyable stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone going on a family holiday.

Amazing 2 week stay in a family premium room. Our 2.5year old had the best time ! Hotel is definitely one aimed at family’s with a lovely fresh and modern decoration . all the staff are so nice and friendly. Great choice of food and very good quality at Buffett - you can eat in the a la cart restaurants (Mexican, Spanish & Greek) the Mexican was by far the best of the three! The new infinity pool & sky bar lovely and chilled music our toddler loved it up there in the shallow part of the pool. Amazing location right onto the beach yet a short bus ride into the old town with the bus stop a 5 minute walk away. We had a professional photo shoot with the staff photographers based by the ice-cream parlour - Huge thanks to Georgia for capturing an amazing family photo shoot. Highly recommend staying here and we will with our a doubt return again.

It’s an amazing hotel for family, after renovation it looks like new. kids are always busy with different activities. Great food, very clean and modern hotel! I was in different hotels in Mallorca but this experience is the best! I will come back for sure.
