Best Hotels in Cala Pi

Fab hotel for a quiet last minute break. Pool area was brilliant, really comfy sun beds and brilliant cocktails served from the pool bar. We were always able to find a sun bed. The staff were all brilliant, food and drink all seemed reasonable for the local prices. We were in one of the older rooms so it didn’t have the nice blue/ white colour theme shown in the hotel photos, but beds were comfy and there were double balcony doors so there was no issues with noise from the street. It was great to have a fridge in the room. Lovely beach less than 10 mins walk, and easy to jump on the bus to Palma from right outside the hotel (€2 each way). You can also cycle which is lovely too. Breakfast was excellent, loads of choice. dinner also good, each night had a different theme- some nights were better than others! There was no entertainment in the evenings but bar open until 12. We stayed Monday- Friday and the hotel was busy but pretty chilled, I think it’s more of a party hotel over the weekends.

Very good hotel with delicious buffets. Had half board and the food was very tasty. The hotel also has a nice small pool area. It's also not far to the beach and Bierkönig. So the location is great

A modern hotel, right on the sea front at Playa de Palma. Very clean and comfortable. Pleasant staff. Reasonable bar prices. Great roof top area with sun beds, pool, and comfy shaded areas. Sky Bar not open during our stay, but will be an asset when it is. Great views of Palma Bay and the mountains. Good for plane spotting on Flightradar24. Restaurant has plenty of different sized tables; food very good and lots of choice and variety. Bus stop nearby for Palma city or Arenal - 2 euros each way. Will definitely go again.

This hotel is really nice .. the rooms are basic, but fine. The pool area , reception and particularly the staff are lovely. The food in the hotel is great , really well priced and really nice. The hotel even has its own beach, we did get bit a LOT and we're told by another guest they had to change her mattress as she had 37 bites. Now for the down side .... if your over the age of 35 this hotel is not for you. Trance style music played loud all day long until 11pm, people running up and down corridors all night, slamming doors and screaming. Local area ... if you are not German they don't care and don't cater for you. As an English couple there was absolutely nothing for me and my partner, all the bars are German, all the food places are German. All the people are German.

We were advised from travel agency that this was a nice 5* hotel with a good beach nearby. I mean, this hotel is not bad, and the staff was very nice and helpful, we travelled with 2 small kids and the staff made us fell very welcomed. I know the surrounding area is not hotel's fault, but its definitely more for the teens or younsters who party hard every night. Everywhere is graffiti, theres no nice souvenir shop- only the cheap bs that people buy when drunk but back to the review. The elevator didnt work the whole 7 days and when we asked why they dont call the service to fix it, we were told they call it but no one came. Peefect. So imagine waiting 5-10mins to go down with the one elevator that worked for 8 floors plus -1 floor. We had to use stairs to go down with two pushchairs in our hands. When it comes to food, everyday was a different theme which was nice, the food was good but all the cakes were from frozen semi-finished products and not hotel made, which is a big minus for me as a baker. You have to pay for your drinks when having dinner, even water. I dont think this hotel looks like 5*, especially the vending machines made it look super cheap and when i asked for the luggage weight, you have to pay 1€ for each weighting which is super ridiculous. The room service didnt do much of cleaning, where there was a bit of a sand on the floor, it was there for our whole stay. They only changed the towels, made up the sheets and thats it, didnt even change the sheets. The room was lacking a lot of stuff for 5* hotel, like weight, wardrobe for the clothes, some essentials for hygiene, a little sewing kit and so on. We will not return to this hotel and you better find somewhere else without the screaming drunk german teens and graffiti all around. At last, i have to thank again to the staff, they made our stay much better.

Second time going with iberostar in Spain. Wasn’t a question after the first to go with it again and this one seems even better than last year in Tenerife! Friendly staff, comfy, clean & spacious room, great choice of food (breakfast is the best with churros, grill is always a good idea at dinner). The hotel itself is not overcrowded, there are just enough rooms, so you don’t feel overwhelmed by an enormous hotel complex. Upon arrival our luggages were taken right away, check-in could be done online since we booked on iberostar’s website so only final touches were made and while we had to wait around 5 minutes we were offered refreshments and fruits. Our room is standard with a side sea view on the 4th floor but still it seems like one of the best rooms and the side sea view is just partly side, the view is basically amazing. Airport 10 minutes away, Palma 15 mins by taxi and you can always count on the staff to order one for you. One of the best choice when staying in Mallorca!

We have stayed in Colonia San Jordi several times before but wanted to try the Universal Marques. There are many very positive things about this hotel: - Location is excellent - Room - we had a superior sea view, it was lovely and spacious with great views - Cleanliness of the hotel is superb - Staff professional, helpful and polite - Gym - basic but does the job - Food - delicious, lots of healthy choices, freshly prepared and tasty. You have to chose either the earlier or later sitting in the restaurant in the evening and you keep the same slot and table for your stay. - Pool - you have to book and pay for sunbeds. This is an excellent idea but if you are not sat on them other people can use them who haven't paid. This causes tension when you ask people to move. If you book and pay for your beds others should not be allowed to use them, staff need to make this clear. So, the one big issue we had is that everyone smokes and its awful. By the pool people just sit and chain smoke and generally couldn't care less about those in the minority who don't. Its disgusting to be surrounded by smoke all the time and not relaxing when you have to keep moving away. There are tables by the main entrance to the hotel with no smoking signs but people just sit and smoke, especially after meals so you have to walk through a smoke cloud. Even when you try and sit on your balcony everyone is out on theirs smoking. If you are looking for fresh air this isn't the hotel to stay in unfortunately which is a shame because otherwise our stay was perfect. Perhaps the hotel could consider having smoking and non smoking areas to accommodate those who don't smoke who seem to be in the minority.

Room was very basic! Smallest shower room ever! No drawers! Tiny hanging space! Room smelled damp! Air con was ok but would reset itself to higher temp! Window doesn’t open! Very small pool! Check out 12 noon (night flight home & no facility for proper shower before leaving!). No comfy seating areas. Staff very friendly. Could order drinks & food which got delivered to pool area (where there aren’t enough beds but we were lucky in that respect) had to go down from pool to room to use toilet. Got pool towel from reception leaving deposit. Could’ve gone that with kettle too but didn’t bother. Good selection of complimentary drinks in room on arrival - had to pay to replenish stocks incl water! (didn’t bother as little shop next door sold water, drinks, ice creams). Great selection at breakfast…… but this is not a 4 star hotel!! & it’s about 20/25 min walk into central area - poss just a tad too far out for a city break. Not disability friendly.

Arrived late at night. There is no hotel parking. Asked the receptionist who gave us a car park about 2 miles away. We eventually found one in the town located in front of the football pitch. (Which gets very busy!). The first room we were given smelt like sewage, so I went back to reception and he was happy to swap us rooms. The second room seemed okay so we bedded down for the night. Beds are quite uncomfortable and pillows are like crepes. Room is modern and serves a purpose if your looking for cheap accommodation. There were some loud guests (drinking and having parties in their rooms). Room is cleaned everyday and fresh towels. Also a large sick stain which looks like it hadn’t been cleaned properly on the bed. Pool area looks nice and bar downstairs has drinks at good prices.

We stayed 3 lovely nights at the Hotel and had a truly amazing experience from start to finish. Thank you to the whole team and Essau! The level of hospitality was overwhelming - everyone was warm and without fault. When we arrived we walked around the area to find somewhere to eat but with nothing looking appealing we settled for a snack at the pool restaurant and it was a hit! tasty well made food! The rooms are incredibly designed and full of comfort with great modern features. Thank you to the whole staff for making Marias birthday so special with a celebration at breakfast and a kind gesture in our room! Attention to detail that is admired! We can't wait to come back!
