Stayed in the Caroline room. My Girlfriend and I enjoyed a quiet romantic evening. The hot tub & sauna was awesome. Dinner & breakfast were first class. Definitely going back to try the Columbus room. Not as ******* as we thought. We really enjoyed the tub.

My husband and I decided at the last minute to take a weekend trip to explore the Mark Twain National Forest. We discovered the Old Caledonian Bed and Breakfast online and it sounded like the perfect place for us to base ourselves for our explorations. It did not disappoint. It is a charming home with lovely grounds. This is a family run business. The current owners have had it for less than two years, and are doing a fantastic job with it. Everyone makes an effort to make you feel welcome, and to make sure that you enjoy your stay. Carol prepared some wonderful breakfasts for us. You can even arrange to get your dinner there. We stayed three nights and had dinner prepared for us one evening. It was delicious. Brittany took care of our needs and provided anything we asked for. I would recommend this as a place to stay if you are traveling in this part of Missouri.

I wanted to get of town for a couple days. My brother suggested the Old Caledonian B &B, as he had stayed there previously. The moment I arrived, I felt at home. I was greeted by Michael, the innkeeper and chef, and his dog, Twyla who almost immediately rolled over for belly rubs. The entire building was beautiful and my room, The Hawthorne room, was no exception. Super comfy bed, adequate water pressure in the shower... Bonus! Michael is an exceptional chef and the food was fantastic. Michael makes food by scratch, including rustic sourdough bread. The eggs are farm fresh from his very own chickens! And speaking of chickens... You can go to the fence and also see goats, peacocks, geese, turkeys and two herding dogs, Ranger and Kate. Ranger loved being petted through the fence. One of the goats bopped noses with me through the fence. I also enjoyed sitting in the gazebo enjoying wine, relaxing and taking in the beauty of the grounds. Then I went inside and had a delicious three course dinner prepared by Michael. I will definitely be back. It was an amazing couple days, and I felt like I had spent them with a long time friend!

Great place. Well kept, clean, roomy, beautiful. Brittany checked me i. For my 1-night stay. She was delightful. I had a chance to chat with her more outside in the evening. She prepared an amazing breakfast (yogurt/fruit, blueberry scone, diced potatoes, bacon, coffee, water). Room was huge. Bed very comfortable. Sound machine and ear plugs provided to help you get a good night of rest. Keurig, fridge, TV, lots of lighting. Claw foot tub with bath salt. Salt lamp. Wonderful touches! The 4 star is only because the hot tub wasn't working (that was a surprise find for all) and the partial wall around the bathroom may be uncomfortable for a couple or friends sharing a room. It was fine for me, unusual experience. I would recommend this place!!!! There is a room with full bath outside the room.

Michael and Frank were the best! Their B & B was absolutely gorgeous, and they were so nice and welcoming! The rooms are large and beautifully decorated with all any guest would need plus more! Michael greeted us with an offer of a delicious apple galette and a glass of wine, and the next morning our breakfast was amazing! They were so fun to talk with and I will definitely will return to stay again!

Just spent 3 nights at the B&B. It was absolutely fantastic! The food is out of this world! All foods are homemade, and Farm to Table. Very comfortable beds with sheets as soft as silk. Quiet rooms, beautifully decorated. The owner is so much fun and so engaging. A beautiful property that just continues to surprise. Every request was granted and so much more. I would encourage anyone traveling to the area to stay at Old Caledonia Bed & Breakfast.

This was our 3rd time here. Caldonia is small but there are plenty of things to do within a 30 or 45 minute drive. Walk down the street to the Mercantile and get the best ice cream ever. Michael and Frank are the best innkeepers. Michael is a fabulous cook and I highly recommend having him cook dinner for you. You will have to pre-arrange dinner reservations. Breakfast is included and amazing. His inhouse made goat cheese and fresh farm eggs are delicious. This is our 3rd time here and we will be back. I joke with them that we have been there in the spring, summer and fall. We will now have to go back during the winter and use the hot tub and sauna.

The Old Caledonian is under new management. The gardens are beautiful all over the grounds with coy pond, patio tables out back, hot tub, gazebo, and benches scattered about for a quiet sit. It's a functional farm with livestock and gardens. The peacocks wander the property and are a beautiful sight. The breakfasts were excellent, accommodations comfortable and the owners are friendly. You can antique shop in town or nearby Potosi. Nature lovers would enjoy nearby Elephant Rocks with easy trails, Johnson Shut Ins with swimming and slightly more challenging trails. It was a very pleasant, relaxing stay. Highly recommend!
