The apartment was clean and basis. Updated TV, cutlery pots and pans, a sponge and washing up liquid would of been better, but for £90 4 days it was a bargain. Swimming pool area very good. Nice and clean and comfortable beds. Reception staff not very helpful asked for a hair dryer and never got one.

Really enjoyed my stay. I was situated by a pool and it was quiet and peaceful, within walking distance of amenities.

Apartments are very spacious, kitchen, lounge/diner. Large bathroom, bedroom consisted of 2 single beds. These are self catering apartments, which work well for your stay. There is cutlery, plates, bowls, pots and pans, microwave, 2 ring electric hob, very easy to use, there are supermarkets nearby, Also in town. There is a large Aldi and Mercadona supermarket, also Atlantico shopping centre in Caleta, ( nice walk, 15 minute walk away) which has everything you need. We've stayed at these apartments many times and they tick all boxes.

For what we paid this accommodation was fine very basic and no frills you get what you pay for reception staff weren’t the friendliest but with all the complaints they were getting I think I’d get a bit fed up as well don’t book this if you are looking for 4 start it’s a 1-2 star at the most but fine for a base and cheap break to the sun. Plenty sun beds at the pool no maid.service and can’t comment on food as we were self catering no entertainment at all in hotel.

Upon check in, the lady who dealt with me took my passport and credit card details, gave me a key and a map and that was it. When I located the bungalow (not easy even with a map, especially as it late and very dark) I found that the room had not been serviced. I had to go back to reception, where I waited to speak to the same lady, she ignored me and asked another British couple if she could help them, the man said ' that lady has been waiting longer than us ' and the receptionist waved her hand in my direction - dismissing me and continued to deal with them. I then explained that the room she had put me had dirty sheets and towels i.e. had not been cleaned since the last person used it. She said I had to contact reception one day in advance to request the room be cleaned?! Various other people came in and they all agreed that this could not be correct but she insisted and when I continued to say that it was not acceptable, she said there was nothing she could do except speak to her boss tomorrow. I told her I would not stay in that bungalow and needed to be placed in another and she said she could not do it, by now there were lots of people in reception - all agreed with me that it was disgusting! and that her attitude was terrible. She dealt with all of them, ignoring me. Another couple then tried to speak to her about my situation and she then asked me again, for about the 5th or 6th time when I had checked and I again told her that she had checked me in about 20-30 minutes earlier. She finally, begrudgingly apologised that she had misunderstood?! and gave me another key! The way she spoke to me and continually dismissed me, as if I was the one being unreasonable was absolutely disgusting behaviour. The staff did not advise of how to get to the beach or where the nearest supermarket is (which, considering they do self catering would be useful) they did not advise of where the bar or restaurant were on the complex or anything. The bungalows are very basic - what you would expect for the money - extremely dated and in need of some serious tlc. the first place I saw had bedside lamps and a ceiling fan but the second didn't even have these so it was main light in the evenings and although my visit was April and so bearable - without AC or fans I imagine it would be awful during the hotter months. Don't expect anything like a hotel, there is no shampoo or soap or dishcloths or anything like that, just a bed with sheets and blankets in the cupboard, a few coathangers, towels in the shower/wc. You get a microwave, 2 x hobs, kettle, toaster and basic utensils in the kitchen area. sofa, tv (only sky news in English) and a balcony are with a plastic table and chairs. The complex facilities were pools - all nice but despite stating it was not allowed, if you didn't claim a sunbed early, they were hard to get later in the day. A bar by one pool, which advertised as open from 9am til 8pm but was only open from 10.30am to 5.30pm - a soulless, half decorated place, not even music playing....like the rest of the place - in need of updating. There was also a shabby looking tennis court and football area and a basic gym and a launderette on site - none of which I used and I'm sure there would have been surcharges for all The whole place felt sad and old and the staff were just uninterested. Overall Fuerteventura is a nice place and reasonably priced but the bungalows at Castillo Beach are only worth what you pay, if you can afford to pay a bit more, do so.

Apartments are up the hill which is a good walk or you can get a taxi for about €3.50. Plenty of taxis about. Very basic apartments but they do include everything you need. you need to request fresh towels the day in advance. There is a laundrette on site which charges €5 per wash, also a dryer for around same price. Beds not the greatest so Don’t expect a comfortable sleep but you get what you pay for!

AWFULL GO ELSE WHERE Very dated bungalows need lots of maintenance 1pan 1 frying pan 3 glasses 1 plastic juicer 8 various plates & 2 cups 1 frozen solid with frozen mould fridge freezer 1broken two ring oven top No privacy due to over looking bungalows terraces Rusted bath Filthy dirty sofa covers No air con & for safety reasons can not leave door or any windows open BEDS rusty metal frame Mattress so thin felt like you didn’t even have one Check in & out very slow as only 1 member of staff who was very polite but had a large cue location so much steeper mountain than anticipated NO Shuttle bus so due to mobility difficulties 4 taxis a day at €3.50 each time , soon mounts up Swimming pool very long drop on all steps difficult to get in & out with mobility difficulties I do NOT recommend this place AT ALL I would give this place ZERO points if I could

The room we booked was very dirty, there was no light in the room, the fan didn't even work, the bed linen was stained and the oven didn't work. There were few utensils and the lever kept popping off, there was no power, the light went out at midday. Well, it needs to improve.
