Thorn House B&B

A quiet cottage in a small village. It was a peaceful stay for us. Also convenient for heading to Cambridge where our kids were staying and we took a couple day trips to London while there. Worked out well for us. Friendly host and he made a huge breakfast every day. Had to tell him to give us less as I couldn’t eat lunch afterwards.

This accommodation was excellent. for us.It was situated in a tiny village with only one local pub, which was ideal for us. Cambridge is only 10miles away. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The Lodge was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. A nice touch was a plate of fairy cakes and a jar of cookies to welcome you. There was also a jug of milk in the fridge. The bed was sublime. Extremely soft and comfortable. I normally only manage 3-4 hours sleep daily, but on our two night stay i slept right through both nights. Breakfast was a full English delivered to our door, and it was delicious. I can't recommend this place and it's host highly enough. If I'm visiting the area again Thorn House will definitely be my first choice.

Very nice and dog friendly B&B located in a beautiful little typical English village

Alex was a great Host and made sure we settled in with ease, help,a smile and all info needed. Nothing too much,rooms spotless,parking easy and was a great central quiet place to visit all reserves and places we wanted too.

Lovely stay, host friendly & helpful. Breakfast bought to room was a really nice touch. Room was clean. Parked right outside property. Lovely pub with open fire, nice staff, nice food & great ale within 2 minutes walk.

The accommodation was easy to find & parking no problem. Hospitable host. It was perfect for us - we just stayed 1 night. Clean. Good kitchenette. Plenty of windows that open easily, so nice & light & airy. Bed comfortable. Shower not very powerful, but sufficient. Heaters in lounge & bedroom if needed. Breakfast & fruit juice brought to your door & very tasty. Would recommend & return.

What a wonderful place! Every detail has been thought of and such a friendly welcome. Good for country walks and the much mentioned lovely local pub. Accommodation was spotless and the breakfast tasty. Thank you!
