Quiet and calm location. Great breakfast!

This is a pretty good hotel, right on the blue flag beach, serving excellent food with top notch service! Sea is just in the backyard of this hotel; lovely sandy beach with a long promenade to walk/cycle in the evenings with family. Rooms are modern, very decent and well looked after. Reception staff are very good at providing the local info, guide and help out getting around. Urias, Patricia, Julia and Ingrid and others at the reception are quite warm and welcoming. Urias and Patricia go out of their way to help out the guests! Restaurant served us with a wide variety of dishes: (buffet style at regional counters): Mediterranean, Spanish as well as a few African, French and English dishes. Seafoods such as Prawns, Longesteins, Crabs, Escargots, clams, mussels and a variety of fresh fish will not let you down! On the meats side, there is no dearth for delicious delicacies such as: Rabbit, Veal, Poussin, piglets and the usual lamb, beef, pork, red&lean meats and chicken. Some varieties are cooked in beer, mandarin and chocolate sauce which heightens your taste buds for sure! Being a vegetarian, you get a wide variety of salads and cheeses, but don’t forget to ask the sous chefs and servers for details to make sure they are vegetarian (unfortunately I didn’t find any vegan). Everything seems to have been prepared from scratch in house; nothing artificial. A ton of gorgeous fresh tropical fruits always on the menu! Dessert counter is as delicious as you can find the plethora of cakes, pies, gelato and jellies! House keeping ladies are so good at their job (thank you Silvia for a wonderful smile and work). First proper beach holiday abroad and I was not disappointed! The hotel is very clean and well presented and the staff are so lovely. Big shout out to The bar staff who gave us a free shot and some chocolates at the end of our last night. Close distance to public transport and beach is literally at the back of the hotel what more could you ask for! Food was alright too but I’m a fussy eater! Definitely be back again.

So, this place was generally lovely and clean. I'm a lone, female traveller and my transfer bus initially dropped me off at the wrong place. Once I got to the right hotel I was a little distressed. The person who checked me in, a man named David was absolutely amazing. There were two members of staff, slightly older gentlemen and they were both really personable and kind. Ingrid and Yulia were also realy helpful and patient as I quizzed them about local catamaran tours. There was another older gentleman, I think he was named Urias who was great. The hotel itself was kept well and looked lovely. I upgraded from the room I was initially put it. The first room was exceptionally clean and everything looked new. The room I upgraded to was only 10 euros per night incremented and was a little more worn and not so clean (a mirror had a permenant mark and there were hairs in random places from previous guests). It was pool/sea view. I was a little shocked on my first night when I realised it was also directly above the poolside stage and live show. The room was one of the first out of the elevators so cleaning didn't happen on some days and I wonder if they were tired by the time they got around to mine. There was a younger lady with dark hair who cleaned later on in my stay and did a notably better job than the previous days. The restuarant was a little overwhelming at first; there was a lot of choice but everything was well cooked and the staff was generally nice. Unfortunately, here was one of the worst experiences I had at the hotel. I occasionally struggle with anxiety and one morning I was feeling it. I wanted to sit away from the main crowd at breakfast so made my way to the back of the restuarant. There was a table that was clear but yet to be set. I asked one of the staff (a young woman with dark hair and alt styling) to set the table. She seemed stressed and was abrasively dismissive saying that she had other tables to clear and that I should find somewhere else. This triggered an anxiety attack and the worst part was that to leave I would have had to walk to the length of dining room so in my panic I went into the bathroom. I was initially going to comply and find somewhere else to sit but I then realised that I had paid to be there, I had every right to be there and that, logically staff had to clear all tables, including the one that I preferred to sit at. It should not have been an issue to prioritise the table I requested and having been triggered, it was unlikely that I couldve have remained composed in the middle of a dining hall surrounded by strangers. I spoke with a manager asksing if they could sort a table. He wanted to me to be present when he spoke to the staff member directly. When I tried to explain to her, she was again dismissive and literally ignored me. Before I start this review.....To the person who will write the reply....Refrain from sarcasm and being offended that you have a review that is not 5 Stars - not everyone can have a great experience! Suck it up! Pros- On the beach Good location to theme parks Cleaners work hard in the rooms Breakfast good (Struggling to find pros!) Negative- When we arrived we had two rooms for 5 people all over 16. My daughter had just washed her hair and was off to bed...... When people say the rooms are small you have to chuck yourself on the bed to get passed eachother! You can not even open the fridge door fully or sit on the one chair available as nobody can walk passed! So the sidetable is taken away for camp bed....the pillow and electrical socket and lamp is all at the same height! So was not happy! When you pay the same price for a 16 year old as an adult you expect them to have the same comfortable sleep as you (pictures provided). I went down to reception and explained that I was not happy with the sleeping arrangements. To my shock the receptionist was rude and then shrugged her shoulders as if I was crazy. So I wrote a review while I was there...... Off we went out the next day to arrive back at the hotel to be approached like I was a criminal in front of other hotel guests. The person who dealt with it was better then the first lady that's for sure! But I felt pressured into deleting my review as the man said it is TUI fault they have been told not to sell the rooms for 3 people and they have had complaints for a few years from TUI customer. All they wanted was a good review and not an honest one! Apparently the hotel manager had seen review and wanted it off.....the man from reception came up and gave us a clip to put in for safety reasons!!! Shocking! Can you imagine having young children in this room! Never felt so in the wrong for speaking up because God forbid you have a bad review. For the Manager- you are the one allocating these rooms to TUI !!! STOP!! It is not our fault being mis sold a room and it's your responsibility to not allow it. 2 chairs on balcony and 2 cups- Room for 3 people!! It's a fridge not a mini bar....mini bars have water etc in on arrival!! Pool area !! No fun in the pool , you are allowed to breath and that is about it. No wonder the lifeguard sits and eats all day long.....only 2 to 5 people in the pool as everyone is frightened of being told off. You walk pass other hotels in the road and everyone is having fun in the pool! Not us!! There is no law in Spain refraining from having a ball in the pool. Tiles around pool area loose. Sick in the pool -lifeguard did not know what to do with it! Scooped the fishing net around abit and it all mixed in the pool! Thankfully only 2 to 5 people in the pool!. This hotel is for over 50s NOT families at all. Do not be fooled by reviews! Raw chicken at dinner - cold food (Don't care you have great reviews for food, I am telling you chicken should be cooked and not pink ...

Very clean, housekeeping do an amazing job, well done to them, food outstanding one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten in, staff unfriendly, security, bar staff and waiter service, came to relax, spent most of our time at the beach, got questioned if we were actually staying here more then once due to not being given a wrist band, when coming back to the hotel , having walked through 4/5 times per day

We got a lovely warm welcome on arrival. The hotel area were spotless and the housekeeper for room 2083 was fantastic! The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were peaceful and quite at night time when sleeping. The food was ok. A little cold and slightly uncooked for our liking but we understand it’s a buffet and they have a lot of people to cook for. We can’t fault the staff especially the man who sees you in and out of the food hall. He was very friendly and always made an effort to say hello and ask how we was. The entertainment was great. A bit of music on in the evening before and after would bring the vibe and atmosphere up a little. We did find we had to get up and order drinks in the bar as the bar waiter never came over to us. We was not sure if we had to call him over but we felt rude doing this so decided to go to the bar ourselves. All in all we did really love the hotel and would come back again.

Hotel is of a very high standard. Immaculate throughout. Lovely pool area over looking the beach and promenade. Food was exceptional standard. Very Mediterranean. Truly wonderful. Bar prices were very reasonable. Rooms were very clean and good size for 2 adults and child age 16 on a camp bed. Free safe kettle and fridge. Our room was 2043 overlooking the front of the hotel. Great for sun all afternoon and evening. All staff were lovely. I'd like to give a special mention to Baltazer in the bar. Lovely young man. So polite and attentive. Just 2 points. When a third guest in room could there be 3 cups and saucers. Instructions for Aircon would be helpful. We don't use it much in the UK! I googled how to set it. Excellent location with bus stops straight outside the hotel. Couple of supermarkets nearby. I would definitely return.

I travelled with my adult daughter for a girly catch up. The Estival Centurion Playa proved to be an excellent choice. Superbly located by the beach with easy walks to Cambrils and Salou. Plenty of choice at dinner, excellent local dishes, well presented. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The spa was easy to book and it was very relaxing. The staff were all excellent and so helpful and I can’t wait to visit again.
