Bintana Sa Paraiso

Relaxing. Quiet. Comfortable. Safe. Bintana sa Paraiso is one of those places you should stay at when you just want to be alone with your thoughts or spend time with your family or friends. I stayed there for 5 days and I'm planning to come back as soon as I left the place. The staff are always accomodating and cheerful and oh they also have 3 rabbits! The food is great that I ended up spending my alone moments eating while watching the sunset from my veranda. One thing that really made me happy was when I met one staff who takes great pictures! For a solo traveler, that's definitely a bonus point. His name is Drex and you can ask for him if ever you want someone to take your pictures 😁. Don't worry he's very friendly and helpful (We actually became friends right away). Thank you to Drex, Julie and Beverlyn for being so friendly. I never felt alone during my stay because of these guys ❤️. Again, ask for Drex if you want beautiful pictures during your stay 🙏✌️ you can even request for him to tour you around Camiguin if you ever needed a good photographer in tow 😜😁
Nypa Style Resort Camiguin

After checking maybe all beachfront resorts, I can say with confidence that this is the best place to stay on the island, surely for the midrange resorts! As I travel most of the time, I already know the feeling when I arrive to a place and I just feel that it’s the perfect place for me. There are several types of Nipa bungalows, differ in sizes but they are all beautiful, well attended and maintained, tastefully decorated, comfortable and inviting. Every small detail in the bungalows shows the touch of love from the owners. The bungalows are apart from each other and you have your privacy in the tranquil atmosphere of the beautiful garden nestled in the beautiful nature of Camiguin. The kind, lovely and most helpful owners (Ilenia and Stefano), live here and that for sure makes the whole difference. The Italian restaurant on the premises, serves delicious Italian food and home made pastry in a quality that surely is very hard to achieve in such a remote island- but they do it in every single meal again and again. When I finish my day of traveling and feel so happy to come back to my amazing bungalow, I know that I found “my place” and that it will be hard to leave until the next time I’ll surely come back. True, it’s not a beach front resort and that’s the reason that I checked almost all beach front resorts on the island, but comparing to the beach front options that I saw, I had no doubt that Nipa style resort, is the best choice. Driving the rented motorbike, will take me anywhere and any beach or waterfall and ocean view in the island. And anyhow, the beauty of the island is superb, but the beaches are not the main reason to come to this island (not the best beaches in the Philippines), but the overall beauty, good vibe and uniqueness of this volcano island, is what makes it so special and enjoyable. As I said, for me, there is not really a doubt that it’s the best place to stay in Camiguin! Thank you Ilenia, Stefano and the team of the resort, for such a great time in your amazing place 🙏🙏

But if I didn’t have this upgrade will be 3 stars, why?, because I think there is missing someone that take care of the details, can be so much nicer with very less effort. For example, I took trash around the swimming pool, how can this be possible, I did because shock my eyes to see like that, so nice place with trash around. The room on 2 floor with 2 queen bed with amazing views, Those curtains that are high to the ground and don't cover the light and are so unpleasant. The breakfast so poor, but good thing they bring wherever you want to be served, in a nest, in the common dining room, on your balcony at no cost. Maybe is because is low season that was like little abandoned but I must say the price is on offer but still I think is too expensive. The top plus are the receptionist, I can name Jay, he help us a lot by wasap, he is very kind and polite, bravo for him and the team.

Yes, that is how you will feel after staying in the intimate guest house environment created by Roman and Alessandra. This world-travelled couple understand escape, intimacy, and romance, and for this busy professional who was long, long overdue to disconnect and relax, it was the perfect place. They have assembled an amazing and attentive staff, and there are professional masseuse services available for you to indulge yourself. If you are a diver, Roman is your guy, and cocktails near the shore would be a wonderful way to end your day. The menu offerings for breakfast and dinner are all delicious. Make sure to pay attention to the specials board to not miss out on anything. My fiancé and I stayed in a small cottage unit with a small, private pool that was amazing, sensual, and so relaxing. You won’t regret your stay.

Location is very far from tourist spots, only close to mantigue island. Not recommended if you want to look around the island. Very far from any convenience store, city center, airport, port, etc. Staff is 💯 very good. Kudos to all staff Richelle, Harley, Irish, Romeo, jackey, connie and all those who's names i didnt get. Prepare to pay 1700 per person a night for 3rd person. Even if room is good for 4,you must pay without discount. Very unlike other hotels in Philippines or abroad. Definitely not value for money. Too overpriced. They want to get all your money but the hotel is not worth it. No bottled water in the room, only tap water. No hotel slippers, no bath robe. No bath tub. Housekeeping is upon request which was a surprise. Walls are made of wood, you can hear noisy neighbours 😣 WiFi is only for 2hrs and then log back in. Beautiful hotel but very lacking. Pool is good. Breakfast is only buffet if they have <50 customers. Ala cart if checked in guests is >50. Selections are repetitive. Pork humba, bistek, bacon, potato or egg plant or radish. There is congee 🥣 egg and noddle for buffet. Ala cart selection is very limited. No vegetables 😕 Stayed for 5 days paid $200 a night, not worth it. Spend $200 a night somewhere else.
Camiguin Volcan Beach Eco Retreat & Dive Resort

The resort is located about 15' in car or bike from the port and 10' from the airport. It is a bungalow set surrounding a central garden, very carefully, with a bit of rock beach where to make snorkel or dive. The resort has a small diving center, a bungalow of massages and a reception where they offer all kinds of excursions and also rent motorcycles. The bungalow has a bed with mosquito and bathroom inside. It is cozy. The staff is very friendly and service, especially Glenda in reception. Thanks Glenda for your help! Super recommended place!
