Awful location , no where near any attractions by foot , like stated . On a mountain , secluded , surrounded by forest .

Very nice Fantastic service. Everyone was so nice and the room was perfect.

In the quiet part of town, tucked away from the rest

We stayed here because we were visiting family. We had three rooms for family. It’s a nice clean hotel. The staff does not speak English. Thank hod my father translated . One of the front desk staff. He was an older male with a beard and glasses was making nasty comments about “Americans” under his breath . It seemed as though I was bothering him from doing “nothing “ when I asked him a question. I don’t speak Italian good but I understand Italian very well. My mother and father are Italian and our family is from this region. The food in the restaurant was basic and ok. The waitress staff was very nice and pleasant and very accommodating. They could not do enough to please us. The dinner was not great. The breakfast was very good. It seemed as though we were the only people in the hotel. There was absolutely no action or anything. They charge you if you want to use the gym. I reserved a large room with a balcony and was told ******* made a mistake. So my room had no balcony but they switched us to a much smaller room on a lower floor with a very, very tiny balcony. I guess overall it’s a clean, quiet place to stay but that’s it! There is nothing going on here and you need a car to get everywhere because it’s on a hill in a residential area. For these reasons I give it a 3. The view from the hotel of Compobasso was absolutely beautiful!

We booked a Junior suite, what you get is a good size std room. Located in the back streets on a hill with good views of castle. Clean rooms. Reception check in 2 pm. On departure tried to include our room charge, showed our booking paper, removed, after 15 minutes still could not print a new charge sheet, could not provide restaurant purchases. Had to add up on calculator as we had to leave for Rome airport. Give their restaurant a big miss, we rate it a disaster,

Don't write many poor reviews as i spend a lot of time researching and reading about Hotels/Restaurants etc. Positives, and there are plenty : large modern Hotel, big rooms, comfortable bed, quiet at night. Adequate breakfast nice waitress. Negatives : Disinterested, surly receptionist. We have got by in quite rural locations with our Italian, and were on day 9 of a cycling trip. He either didn't like us, the fact we arrived by bike, or perhaps working in a Hotel. Quite dismissive in his communications eith us, little effort to assist our poor language skills. When we asked, in Italian, abour safe storage of our bikes, he shrugged and suggested, "outside". When pushed, offered space in huge empty garage for 10 euro !! When asked about spa mumbled about it being extra at, i thought 15euro for 90 mins, but no its 45 euro. I guess not many use the facilities. Really put off by his attitude walked into, very lively, town, 25 mins and had a great pizza. Experience at check out mych better as when i challenged the 10 euro hos colleague, asked, just for 2 bicycles! Highlights how important 1st impressions are. Still fuming 24hrs later.

This is a very nice hotel. Staff is friendly & responsive. It's located out of the way & not within walking distance of anywhere. I'd highly recommend.

You definitely need a car to get around. Room was nice and clean.
