Reviews of Son Bauló

Have to correct a wrong from an earlier review. This hotel is in my opinion one of the best 3 star hotels in Spain. We as a family of 4 are used to always trying out different hotels 4 star/3 star throughout spain but we are always drawn back to the Son Baulo. Hotel basic but very clean and homely. Staff are a credit to their employers and you can tell they are very dedicated and professional in their duties of ensuring that the guests of the Son Baulo are having a lovely relaxing holiday. You wont get any better breakfast or dinner at most 4 star hotels and have to say this hotel comes out tops for quality and variety. David the entertainment manager is an absolute gent and has such a unique rapore with the adults and children who love him. Location of hotel is just spot on for us a nice 20 minute stroll along promenade to the livelier resort centre and hotel sits right on a lovely sandy beach with a sprinkling of cafe/bars with music within touching distance. Looking forward again to our visit in August. Unless you are ultra fussy and very difficult to please take previous reviews with a pinch of salt

Lovely clean hotel in a great location with the beach on the doorstep, what more could you want! The hotel is extremely clean and all staff were very lovely and friendly. The service for food and drink throughout our stay was superb we could not fault this. Hotel food was good, some nights better than others but plenty of choice to suit your taste. Evening show entertainment was good overall. Some acts better than others as expected. David was excellent making everybody laugh. We felt that the hotel mainly targeted for the over 50s-60s, and that we were the minority having a young toddler with us as a young family. There were only a handful of other young family’s like us. Highly recommend this hotel if you are an older couple, but not as a young family unfortunately as there isn’t much to do for young kids.

Stunning location, the hotel spotlessly clean inside and out, the service, food and drink excellent. Would certainly return.

Stayed here for a week and very enjoyable,we did half board and could not fault food options.Room we had was on 4th floor overlooking pool and nature reserve,plenty of space for clothes etc comfy large bed and a/c which was needed at night.we only had one complaint that shower fixing was taped up so not aiming properly but fixed same day so good service,only thing that would have been good a light on the balcony! All staff very friendly and attentive pool was a good size with smaller one for kids,still got same problems as with all hotels people going down to put towels on beds and going away i know everybody wants beds around pool but there were plenty beds plus sign saying not to do this waste of time? All in all good hotel just too long on bus to get there.

Hotel was first class, great food,staff really friendly and nice comfy beds. The only downside of the holiday was the airport which is being refurbished and was chaos.

Right on the beach with lovely views, The pool is large and there is a toddler pool. Great entertainment every evening and a vanities menu. With regular housekeeping and friendly staff. Ideal for all ages.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Right on the beach, near to bars and restaurants. Overlooks a nature reserve . Evening entertainment and reasonably priced.

Lovely. Hotel a little dated but everything else is spot on. Wd normally eat out a few times when away but food is so good we have g this year. Hotel staff work really hard and make you feel welcome. David is great with the kids and adults too never ending energy! Entertainment is really good. I can see why people return year after year! Added bonus towels are not allowed to be put on sun beds or they are removed.

2nd time at the son baulo, absolutely love it, staff are excellent. Tried to book again for next year and it is already booked up 😢

Lovely hotel, in a great position right on the beach, with several shops and restaurants within 2-10 minutes walk. Can Picafort is a 25-30 minute stroll along the promenade / beach or there's a land train (Ting Ting) which gets you there in about 10 minutes. The hotel staff were mostly friendly and helpful, including the Reception, Bars and Chefs (who always had a smile and laugh). The only staff that were less pleasant were the dining room / clearing staff who seemed to roll their eyes and look annoyed quite often, though never said anything to explain their frustrations, as far as I could tell. Tbf they work long hours and it seems a relentless job, so understandable but a little unprofessional. The food was incredible! I would say that there's something for everyone for each breakfast and dinner and something different everyday. I eat vegetarian food and there was only one dinner where I was a little disappointed, but down to personal taste rather than anything else. The room was clean and tidy with a surprisingly comfortable bed. Cleaners came in everyday except Monday (which is a planned day off for them) and always left things immaculate. My only reason for not giving 5 stars was that I asked for a quite room but was put right next to the lift and staircase where there were people stomping, wheeling suitcases and talking loudly on a few nights. However this also overlooked the square behind the hotel where a busker played guitar a few nights and this made up for it tbh.

We went as a group hotel very clean staff very welcoming nothing any trouble at all only some young waitress at night not very pleasant the men were very good only problem with room was not enough sockets in walls

Absolutely amazing holiday entertainment great , staff was lovely couldn’t do enough for you , food was really good so many options hotel really clean so close to the beach fantastic time definitely be back again

Lovely hotel and just back from our fifth visit.Location superb,next to sandy beach and nature reserve.Brilliant promenade alongside the sea for day and evening walks with wide choice of restaurants and cafes.Hotel breakfast and dinner great with wide variety of choices and well presented.Staff welcoming and helpful.Will be returning.
