Holiday Inn Express CANANDAIGUA - FINGER LAKES by IHG

Terrible customer service. Was not recognized as a member. Wouldn’t add my rewards number. We requested a roll away bed ahead of time. Was told they didn’t have it on reservation. Only one staff member was working. Was very rude and disrespectful to us. Wouldn’t let us speak to his manager. Told us they didn’t have any roll away beds which is the only reason we stayed there since we are a family of 5. As a loyalty member I would stick with Hilton after this experience. We couldn’t get pillows or anything from the front desk. No one would answer. Would like a REFUND!!!!!

This hotel hosts travel sports teams. We were unfortunately there during a soccer tournament. The parents all hung out in the breakfast area and didn’t supervise their kids. So the boys were running all over the hotel causing chaos. They were knocking on doors at 10pm and then running and hiding in the stairway. They were reported to the front desk that did absolutely nothing to stop it. Then around midnight all the drunk parents came up and were talking loudly throughout the hallway. I understand hotels are not quiet but kids were out of control while the parents hung out and got drunk. It was not a good weekend and I will not be returning to this hotel.

Only issue I had was the boys soccer team running down the halls, yelling and knocking on doors while their parents sat in the lobby/dining area drinking. No supervisor and it was 930-10 pm at night

I enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn Express with the location close to Canandaigua Lake. We enjoyed the lounge and breakfast room. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Wonderful breakfast, delicious coffee, and a friendly staff. Plenty of parking.

Breakfast was fine. We killed 1 flying bug and 1 cockroach. There was no housekeeping on the 3rd day.

Staff was great. Breakfast was very good. However, our room was not what it should have been for the price charged. King suite but entry light did not work, light in the sitting area did not work, bathroom sink took forever to drain, spider in the tub and hair on the floor. Would not stay there again.

Pool was closed my whole stay April 02-7, 2026. Breakfast was ok. Staff was never at the front always had to wait for them to come out from the back.

Staff was very helpful and kind. Love their breakfast. Unfortunately the pool was closed. That was our only disappointment.

The staff was so pleasant and the room was super clean. A hot breakfast was provided each morning.
