The hotel itself is very modern and great for family with young children. But if it was closer to Cancun hotel zone we would have more restaurants options.

The room was a room with a kitchen and a living room, and it was an ocean view, but it was an ocean front. The bath also has a bathtub, so you can relax. There is also table tennis, which I enjoyed. "There was a convenience store-like store inside the hotel." There is only one restaurant where you can have dinner, and there isn't one near the hotel, so I ended up going to a convenience store. The service is definitely the worst hotel in the world. There is no one. When friends come to visit, they can't even enter the hotel lobby, and they are so angry that they don't stay. Do not stay at this hotel , never , it is a trash hotel with rude stuff at the reception.

We enjoyed our star at the Royal Islander. We can't wait to go back. Great service and nice rooms. Very convenient shuttle service to the other Royal hotels. The breakfast buffet has very good quality and many different options every day.

I have stayed at the Royal Islander for the past 30 years. As initially planned, it is sold and closed. I would like to recognize 2 people in particular that normally don’t get too many accolades: Jocelyn Castillo, day manager of the resort and Osmar, longtime maid for building 7 beachfront penthouse units. Jocelyn attention to every detail makes her manager of the year for the Royal Resorts in my opinion. Osmar is the best maid I have ever had. Hopefully I can see these people sometime in the future. Good luck to you both!

Got a room full of sand on the floor, pinna colada on the beach bar without taste, cold rice on the main restaurant, slow service on the beach area. People very nice. Bathroom tub and toilet were not 100 % cleaned.
