Great value all inclusive hotel! The hotel is connected to the Royal Solaris and you have access to amenities and restaurants at both hotels. However, the GR Caribe is the more modern and more exclusive hotel. The vibe is notably nicer for couples without kids as the Royal Solaris pools are usually full of families.

There is really no internet in the room, and the WiFi needs to go to the lobby. There are a lot of small programs, but the activities are not written anywhere, so the staff are more enthusiastic, which can make up for it, and the food is average.

We stayed 5 nights at this resort Jan 20th-25th, 2024. It was clean for the most part, workers were always seen cleaning throughout the day. Some of the common areas where people can eat meals by the pool, snack bar, and around the resort could use some attention a bit more often. The staff educated us on the layout of the property, do's and don'ts, restaurant locations, activities, rooms, etc. They were very helpful, caring and respectful. We felt welcome the entire time we were there. The resort is quite plus we had access to the adjacent resort which offered more of a party vibe, more pools, restaurants and activities if you wanted some more excitement. We were offered a sit down one on one with someone who promoted activities and site seeing outside of the resort if you are interested in those types of activities. Breakfast is only served at one location on each resort, lunch at a few restaurants and the open snack bars by the pools. Dinner was a bit different. There were 3 restaurants that you have to make a reservation. They fill up quickly so once you check in for your reservation you need to reserve for the next day and they had one open buffet without reservation. Only ate once with reservation was not impressed with the food ate at the buffet only afterwards which was very good. If you have infants with strollers there are ramps around the resort but some areas you need to carry up or down stairs to acess due to layout.

Buffet and entertainments were located in the adjacent hotel. Have to walk in the open pathway to get there in rain and storm. Unsafe hallways with unsafe walking dips and barriers.

We spent 3 nights at GR Caribe. We were upgraded to an ocean front room upon arrival which was awesome! The room was very clean. However, the bathroom was pretty small. The shower and toilet were in the same space and it was cramped. The property as a whole is a bit dated. The elevators in particular are horrible! One of them stops at every single floor even if no one is getting on or off which was annoying. Several staff told us they were getting new elevators installed by the end of the month. The food was pretty good. The breakfast buffet was really good and the poolside restaurant with the burgers. We didn’t stay long enough to try all the restaurants but we highly recommend Marco Polo. We ate there on the last night and it was excellent! Great food and service! The beach is beautiful…the best I’ve seen so far in the Caribbean!

The staff were really nice they actually gave us an upgrade for my birthday. The only disappointing thing about it was the food. It was all very Americanized and I was really looking for authentic Mexican food. The food was really a 3/10 not many options and kind of bad. I liked that everything was included like transportation and check in and out was very easy.
