Free parking is just in front of the hotel. Half board is okay and standard

A hotel where almost everything is old and broken. The seats in two of the three women's restrooms were broken. The entrance (sliding doors) was broken, everything in the room was old, and the bunk bed is suitable for children up to 12, so small. You have to pay for pool towels, 3 euros each, every time you want a clean one. Breakfast is mediocre; many trays are empty, and not a single empty plate is taken from the table. For good coffee, you have to wait in line for fifteen minutes. Not worth repeating. A maximum of 2 stars instead of 4... Far too expensive for what you get.

This was our return visit. There have been changes such as no free for all with the wine for dinner (which is good in a way as last year people were over doing it. Food was excellent and plentiful. Reception staff brilliant and really helpful. Waiting staff attentive and helpful as before. Good standard of rooms , clean and well kept. Cannigione didn't disappoint. Bit of advice: don't get towels from reception. It's a non refundable €20 charge, hopefully will be back.

Where do I start. 4 Star Hotel is a JOKE POSITIVES All communal areas were clean light and airy. The pool area was clean as was the pool, plenty of sun-beds. Our room was clean and spacious with a lovely balcony over looking the pool area. Although the decor was a bit dated. We had clean towels daily. The maids were friendly. NEGATIVES Miserable looking staff that seemed like they could not care less. Especially in the restaurant area. Breakfast different choices of food, but what was meant to be a hot choice was COLD. Often the bread baskets were empty, and 1 toaster. Staff running around at 8am clearing tables and cleaning them (spraying them while your eating) then laying them up ready for evening. meals. The restaurant opened at 7.30 in evening, OMG I have never seen anything like it. If felt like being at school, we sat back and watched. Ques for everything, all the HOT choices were COLD, if you were brave enough to try some it got slapped down on your plate by staff that not once smiled or acknowledge you. The food stuff like salads etc was emptied quickly and so slow being replenished. The only member of staff in the restaurant area who spoke or smiled was the guy on the puddings. One morning tiles from the ceiling were bulging with water, they didn’t wait or ask anyone to move, they got a ladder and just started pulling them down and water gushed down. We ended up having some salad most nights if you could get any, then going out to eat.

First impressions can be very misleading and we were certainly misled the room was comfortable enough and the pool area was nice and spacious with plenty of sun loungers but that's it a very basic no thrills hotel certainly not the 4☆☆☆☆ that it claims to be , the breakfast selection is very limited cereals , yogurts the usual ham and cheese but never a hot selection the scrambled egg were cold and hard and the bacon must've been cooked the night before as it sat in congealed fat and as for the evening meal you took your life in your hands and hoped that you didn't get trampled in the stampede for the salad bar and as far as the cooked food was concerned it was Luke warm , with small portions served by surly unhelpful staff and if you dared to complain to the restaurant manger about the food being cold his response was there is a microwave.

We were disappointed with our stay, as the hotel did not quite meet the standards expected from a 4-star property. The bathroom and shower could have been cleaned more thoroughly, and the breakfast lacked the healthy and varied options we were hoping for. When we asked for a fruit knife, the response from the restaurant staff was unprofessional and not very helpful. At the pool bar, there was also some confusion with the billing, and our drinks were almost charged twice. Overall, the experience fell short of what we expected for this rating, and there is room for improvement in both service and cleanliness.

Lovely Hotel.....but nothing and I mean nothing in the local town to do and don't get me started on mealtimes, it seems cruise ships use this Hotel for guests to stop over so of an evening they descend on the restaurant ..everything is total chaos, no food is replaced when empty. Waiters and people bumping into one another scrambling to get the last morsels. People complain to the manager but to no avail. The worst Hotel I've ever stayed in!!

We are here now, a lot of the poor reviews are unfounded, the hotel is nice, clean, the food is fresh and well presented, most of the staff are delightful, the pool is lovely if not a little cold. If I was going to have to find fault, the bar staff are painfully slow and are incapable of multitasking even when you are the only one in the bar. Cannigione is lovely and very unspoilt, family's may find it hard to keep children entertained but for couples its a delight. Mid September and the forcast says 30°C but the apothecary thermometer in the sun says 40°C and it feels it, good excuse to be in one of the handful of restaurant bars.

Lovely hotel. We had a balcony overlooking the gardens with a very nice sea view. Pool area was nice with plenty of sun beds. Nice bar area, drinks were not too expensive. Staff were friendly. Wi-Fi was good. Buffet breakfast was very good with a good selection : cheeses, cold meats, bread, cerial, pastries, salad items, fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon and a barista making the best cappuccino! We had evening meal included which was buffet style, 3 types of pasta, fish, meats, veg, salads, soup and always beautiful desserts. 5 minute walk to the small town centre and beach. Nice bar 2 minutes away at the end of the road.

We arrived at 23.00 and allocated our room . Which was small and dated. We had a huge balcony with a small view of the marina. Shower very small no room to move and one day no hot water. Breakfast , very limited. Cereal, seeds, dried fruit, usual cold cheese,ham, salad ,fatty bacon, frankfurters, fried eggs on one day only. Scrambled eggs which were hard and dry. bread, pastries. Dinner luke warm food. Salad and cold vegetable dishes, hot food served to you by miserable chefs, small portions and huffed at if you asked for more. Desserts large range at 7.30pm come 8.30pm these are not replenished to cater for late diners. Drinks are payable, only water free. Pool area very nice as in photo. Plenty of space and quality beds, pool freezing cold and steps into pool very wobbly to the point of being dangerous. There is a small pool connected to main pool for kids and another with a seating area to cool off. Joining these two areas are a set of tiled steps . The granite steps are fine but half way down is an area of white tiled steps which are extremely slippery. Several people lost their balance on these and im surprised there was no broken bones. Very dangerous. Pool side snack bar is ok. All drinks are added to your room and payable at check out. Toilets by pool are terrible. No locks on doors and no toilet seats . There are shower cubicles with glass doors which anyone walking in would see you. Hardly private. On day before we left we asked to keep Room on as we wasn't being picked up till 5.30pm. We was told a point blank NO. We had to leave room by 10am. When asked if anywhere to shower and change we was told to use poolside showers. We stated there was no locks on doors ,her response was get your partner to stand outside while you use them. Awful response. To sum up this hotel is most definitely not a 4 Star hotel, its 2 at most. It's dated, in need of lots of maintenance. Food needs to be greatly improved and staff given training in customer service. The biggest plus are location is great, pool area spacious.

Like others, initially apprehensive with after reading some other reviews but found to be totally unfounded during the stay. Went with a family of 4 - 2 small kids in August 25. Room, facilities and staff were warm and professional. Particularly worth mentioning the breakfast, great selection and although busy the house team where very attentive and friendly. The town is very close by with some good restaurants and a quiet beach - nice local vibe particular in comparison to other popular/crowded beaches on the island.

The hotel was lovely, a relaxed pace, beautifully clean and maintained . Loads of food choices. Cannigione a brilliant resort, loads of lovely bars and restaurants, totally Italian. Great boat trips and regular markets. Very, very few English about Highly recommended

We had a fantastic stay here and would absolutely return. The location is perfect – close to lots of great restaurants, with lovely views and a lively but relaxed atmosphere. Contrary to some previous reviews, we found all the staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay – not a single negative interaction. The pool area was a real highlight: large, spotless, and very spacious with no stress over sunbeds. Lifeguard was very attentive and extremely welcoming. Drinks were served promptly and always with a smile. Breakfast was of nice quality with a good selection, and the team worked efficiently to clear plates and keep the food replenished. Our room was very small, but this was clearly stated at the time of booking, so we knew what to expect. It worked fine for us as a couple with small children, but it may feel cramped for a family with older or teenage kids. Housekeeping was excellent – our room was spotless every day. All in all, a great experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Having read some of the reviews before we came, I must admit I was a little concerned that we had chosen correctly. Thankfully any concerns I had were totally unnecessary. The room we had was excellent. Spotless. All staff were exceptionally friendly and well mannered. Especially the cleaners. The food for breakfast and evening meals was absolutely lovely. Delicious. The pool is kept very clean. The hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of Cannigione. Which happens to be a really nice little town. All in all, it has been a very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone. I’m so pleased that I didn’t take the negative reviews seriously , and would suggest that noone else does. Thankyou everyone for making our time in Sardinia very special.
