Pros: The room is clean and cleaned up in a timely manner. The breakfast is good, and the steak in the restaurant on the first floor can be slightly expensive.
Cons: No elevator.
However, there are few old hotels in the UK with elevators.

This is a really great hotel. The service was excellent and particularly friendly from all staff. Reception was very helpful with helping our group with an early check in, our bags were dropped into our respective rooms. Nice large bar & dining area. With just a 10 minute walk into the town centre this suited our group perfectly.

Very happy with stay. The receptionist was extremely helpful and couldn’t do more to be helpful and accommodating. The room was very clean. No complaints. Would stay again when in the area again.

While the hotel itself was excellent, my experience with the restaurant staff was less than satisfactory due to their rude and discourteous behavior.

This place is great value, the large rooms are very comfortable, beds are great, biscuits and hot drinks in room too.
