Rude staff, room had broken window, light cos on door and was dirty. When I told front desk room was unacceptable I was told it was too late for a refund. I had just checked in and went to the room, no longer than five minutes. Would not cancel charge and had to fight it out with credit card company. The worst

The room was fluttering with fruit flies, there was a live centipede in the bed, the tubs was stained and the internet kicked out every few seconds. Not a happy camper and would never recommend this place

Unfortunately a lot of these reviews are correct. The hotel was doable for a couple days but would not stay again. The hotel and rooms were smelly due to it being older and musty. The windows didn’t open so it was stuffy. The staff was friendly enough. A sign on the door said no outside alcohol because it was available at the bar but the bar was barely ever open. All I had was toast with only pkg peanut butter and coffee. There was no juice, milk for cesarean left on counter all morning for cereal, butter, jams were in a jar so you had to share the jar and the butter in the dish had been melted several times. Luckily we did not pay a huge amount for the room so it was okay.

This was the worst hotel ever. $200 a night. Dirty, smelled awful. Holes and cracks in the ceiling. Harbour side view was through a dirty corridor. Bathroom was dirty. Sink cracked. Mirror black when wiped with tissue. No coffee or tea maker. Bins were not emptied. Never again. Nothing good to say about this place. WIFI switched off at 10 pm

Do not book here. We booked this place last minute as we were in the area for an unexpected night. The rooms were not as advertised at all. We were supposed to get a nice looking queen size room and the bed was barely a double. Very old beat up spot, carpets are dirty chairs at the reception is dirty and stained. It says it has a ****** it’s ************* like at a gas station and we’re not usually fussy and as long as it’s decent but we didn’t even stay. we asked for a refund and they denied it and didn’t want to give us our money back we still went somewhere else lost all that money. Desks and everything is very old and just hanging on by a thread. Bad service in not wanting to credit back our refund. Obviously looking for the money and don’t care about the customers . False advertisement of their rooms big time!

The building itself damp, dirty and musty. Even the reception desk leaves you questioning all your choices that lead you here. The hallway between 1st and 2nd floor smells strongly of urine. The rooms themselves are dirty and disgusting. The pillows are trash and so yellow it can be seen thru the cheap white case provided. We had the misfortune of spending two nights. We had to go purchase our own, not yellow, pillows immediately. The staff are rude, and generally unhelpful. the breakfast is disgusting and the general lack of cleaning and maintenance is apparent in every area. Dining hall included. The amount of ‘home made’ bug traps were beyond concerning and literally everywhere, which unfortunately for them did not seem to help the flies and other critters that were very present. The breakfast is the most offensive part of this entire experience. Watching flies zoom around , no one even present as far as staff, guests are just left behind… coffee is almost in sludge form . Disappointing from start to finish. If comfort or cleanliness are important to you- look elsewhere.

Do not get fooled by the advertised images. Here is why The first night was about the mini fridge making noise, an up and down whirring almost humming annoying sound that would not stop. Combine that with the people directly upstairs walking with lead feet and rearranging by dragging furniture on the floor, we had about three hours total sleep. The breakfast was… well read on and you’ll know. Internet would be sketchy and problematic. We ended up using more data because the reception would not connect much. The breakfast is akin to a greasy spoon that pours salt on things already salted. Every day scrambled eggs, greasy bacon *****s and heavily salted thawed out re heated French fries. There are no tongs to handle the bread for toasting, people can only start grabbing slices out of the bag. Jam and peanut butter from the jars that everyone can use one knife for each sitting in the jars. One day they put out an entire brick of butter in the wrapping . Again, a knife for all to use with that one large brick of butter. Let’s say sanitary and safety is not a priority in the dining hall or throughout the property. A table is hard to come by as it takes them a while to clean off and wipe down from previous people.so you stand around waiting. There is a medium sized electric glowing bug zapper on the floor with too many dead bugs just sitting there. Not sure when they cleaned it last but it was the same mess from the first day we were there. Speaking of bugs. Too many little flies around the windows and tables, probably due to the door to outside being left open ever day. How about variety of breakfast items? Nope, they had green bananas, all you can do is take it to your room, and wait a few days until it’s somewhat ripe. The apples were just embarrassing, they had the same shrivelling apples sitting in a metal bowl on the table from day one and they just could not understand why nobody wanted the same six browning bruised and drying apples. Not appealing at all. Instead of napkins at the food table, each sitting table has a box of facial tissues. Talk about wasting money. What about the view, sure the view is great, if you don’t pay attention to the garbage, cups cans etc down by the water’s edge. Nobody is cleaning up the grounds. There are three mattresses just sitting out by the shed. There are two chairs , one on a sheet of 4x8 thin plywood tossed on the grass by the shore. The other faux leather dinner chair that cannot sit anyone safely as the legs are barely holding on and buckle when someone sits. Again. Safety and cleaning is not a priority. What I have concluded from my five nights there is that the Harbourview Inn & Suites was purchased with no real plan to create a place that people will enjoy nor would they want to return. Whomever the owner is, if the place is not updated with safety as a priority, and if the breakfast is not overhauled completely, then I can see this Inn gradua

We were very disappointed with our room. It was a last minute reservation on our anniversary get-away but the photos looked promising. We booked a harbour view room, but we did not expect our harbour view to be through 2 sets of windows, our room and the hallway window; so we could not leave our curtains open to enjoy the view because it was a walk way for everyone. The room had very poor DIY reno's; the bathroom plug was above the mirror so hard to reach for a short person like me. Around the fire sprinkler was an unfinished hole. The pillow cases were so thin you could see the pattern on the pillow through them. We took the pillow cases off the other bed to double up and the pillows we took them off of were stained. I am not a germaphobe, but that made me cringe. There were long black hairs on the floor and on one of our towels. The tub could use a good scrub too. The bathroom vanity was just painted plywood. The sink must be original cast iron because there were rusting chips all over it. Breakfast was included; in a large paper bag you get a juice box, yogurt and muffin. Then there is cold cereal, toast, coffee and juice on a table. It's a typical continental breakfast but strange to have part in a bag and part as self serve. We would NOT stay here again or recommend to anyone we know. Front desk staff was friendly and it's a good location but otherwise....

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I travel for work a lot and often stay in work camps that are nicer than this. It is dirty, run down, old, poorly maintained, smells bad and just kind of thrown together in general. The rooms look like they were finished by a bad DIYer. Cheap bedding and mattresses. Single ply toilet paper ( I went and bought actual toilet paper for my stay). Only two bath towels in the room. No face clothes. No hand towels. No soap. Towel bar half pulled out of wall. Obvious poorly done patch job where the towel bar used to be and must have been torn out of the wall. All the furniture feels like it is either from some IKEA knock off outlet or a garage sale. I would never have my family stay here and I will never stay here myself again. Prices are lower than some of the better known chain hotels but it is still over priced. Avoid at all costs. You will regret staying here. I am. I guess there has to be some upside. It seems they recently replaced all the light fixture with new modern fixtures which are nice but totally out of place. Also the water pressure was good. That is all.
