Old house converted to a hostel, but very homy for me. Nice amenities. Had a comfortable night even if it's located beside party places.

The hostel itself is stylishly designed with modern amenities and cozy communal areas where I could relax and socialize with fellow travelers. The rooms were clean, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the vibrant city.

Unfortunately really expensive for a 2 star place ,staff is rude ,beds are dirty I got bitten by bedbugs , they made me feel so unwelcome that I had to check out in the middle of the nite and spent in on the street.Nit a typical backpackers but rather a half way house for semi homeless people

I went into reception and the lady behind the counter was so rude. I asked a question about pricing, she then scolded me about coming into the gate without ringing the bell but someone had opened for me…I turned away and said bye, she then proceeded to say good luck.

I had an awesome time at Urban Hive! The guests were super nice and so was the staff :) The balcony is super cozy and there is a big kitchen. The hostel is very central (on long street) and there are tons of bars, clubs and restaurants close by. I would recommend staying there if you want to meet people and have fun.

I stayed at Urban Hive for a month, and it felt like a home away from home. The staff is super friendly, nice and accommodating, and ensures everything to make the guests comfortable. It’s centrally located on Long Street, in a beautiful heritage building, and has many hangout places like bar, balcony, lounge. Close to many touristic places and especially to explore the nightlife of Cape Town. The rooms, bathrooms, kitchen are all well maintained and super clean. All in all a perfect experience and will definitely stay there whenever I visit again.
