Cape Royale Luxury Suite

Once again, my wife and I, together with our daughter and her boyfriend, decided to stay at The Cape Royale when we were in Cape Town for the Cape Town Cycle Tour. Our luxury apartment with an open-plan lounge and dining area, was extremely spacious, clean, and well-furnished, including a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. The main bedroom with a comfortable king-sized bed, and modern en-suite bathroom with a lovely shower, was also spacious. The second bedroom also with en-suite bathroom was very pleasant. The apartment had lots of cupboard and wardrobe space, and the air conditioning units in the apartment were very effective. The property is in a central and convenient area, across the road from the Cape Town Stadium, and close to the V&A Waterfront. Once again, we were allocated our own safe and secure underground parking space, together with gate access cards. The rooftop pool with a deck area is an enjoyable place to relax, with impressive views of the surrounding area. Overall, we had a fantastic 2-night stay at The Cape Royale.

I very much do not like leaving negative public reviews - I work in the travel industry and understand that things can go wrong and when they do, which happens, I always strive to resolve things directly with the property. Sadly this has not been possible as the management team of Cape Finest were not present during my stay, dismissed my first email with a generic response (without addressing the points I took time to outline) and then ignored my two follow-up emails. A plethora of things disappointed - noisy refurbishments are going on in the hallway which most rooms back onto; noisy fridge alarms sound each evening when the power is turned off; sluggish responses to simple requests; no toiletries in the rooms; no working safe in the room compromising safety; only being provided 1 key per room as the other key 'was missing'; very tired and dusty rooms. I work in the travel industry, have travelled to over 90 countries and stay in apartments and hotels about 30 times a year. I have never once encountered a property so dismissive of its guests or so derelict of empathy. Summary: great please to stay if you like interrupted sleep and have a loathing of hospitality.

What a BIG disappointment with the couple massage !! First of all the reception lady when i asked about accommodation at the Hotel she answered me by saying : WHAT ? The room we had for a couple massage was tiny, dark, no windows, no aircon. We asked for a fan, and they struggled to connect the fan. When load shedding kicked in room was so dark you could not even see you hand in front of you. They had to run around in search of a light !! No glass of water, no relaxing music while we received the massage! So much for driving all the way from PAARL to lay in a dark hot room !! WARNING STAY AWAY

Sadly this hotel is badly managed. The reception and security are a joke. Don't recommend. The rooms are beautiful but there is a water issue so rooms smell moldy. Also electrical issue. Always workmen, crew, cleaners who are rude. Bad reception

Absolutely awful. Worst experience. Suit 514 run by Paul. The electricity ran out for 12 hours due to him not topping up. There was a half smoked joint on the shelf. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. Crumbs on table, sheets dirty, skid marks in toilet, hair in shower, and the worst was the fake eyelash fluid to the hand towel that I cleaned my face with. Paul also promised a free night in exchange for not leaving a bad review. But he has subsequently blocked me. He also promised to keep my boyfriends expensive polo shirt that he left in the washing machine but his response now that we back to collect it is that he is not a storage facility for our things and blocked us. Stay very far away. Wish I had left the review on Airbnb when I had the chance. Don't trust these empty promises.

This is not a hotel, it is a short term rent apartment. The room has no telephone to call the reception. There is no one at the reception. There is no restaurant service. The rooms are old. The glass top of the room table is loose (which is quite dangerous). This thing is overpriced for what it offers. THE WEBSITE PICTURES DO NOT CORRESPOND TO THE REALITY. RUN AWAY FROM IT! THERE ARE BETTER AND CHEAPER OPTIONS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

Well what can I say about the dreadful linen that is supplied. For the money we paid, I expected better quality linen. Sheets had holes in them, wore worn, And for the actual Duvet, well I would not expect a dog to sleep on it. It was dreadful. I found this out when we had a spillage and I needed to wash the linen. I actually went to Woolworths and bought a new one, which I took away with me. You need to give this some attention. The kitchen was adequate and had all we needed. Except, my husband had a problem with the Nespresso machine - no instructions !! No windows ........only large doors which when its windy would bang shut - bad design of the building. I think you should mention in your description that there are only doors to open for fresh air. The couch is not very comfortable, so did not sit on it for long. The location for us was great, with shops, restaurants literally on your doorstep. BUT please put better quality linen on the beds.

Central location in Green Point,15 min walk to V&A waterfront. We had a seaview room with a fab view. No complaints with our apartment. We did not use the spa but booked a fantastic spa day at One & Only on the waterfront. Front doorman always has a smile and greets everyone. Bars,restaurants, supermarket and excellent ice cream shop also nearby. Cape town has so much to offer and plenty to do, city sightseeing bus pass highly recommended which includes extra free trips which you need to pre book.

I enjoyed staying here, I would definitely stay here again. I was allowed an early check-in so I was really happy about that.. There is a backup battery on the wifi so there is wifi when there is loadshedding..
