This is a really good and friendly guesthouse. The view, breakfast and owner support are all great. Aissa and staff provided a warm welcome and Aissa was very helpful in providing us with info about Cape Town and South Africa generally. Terrace with pool and great view, and a well-stocked and reasonably priced honesty fridge/bar. Secure parking (road guard nearby). Lots of steps, particularly if your room is on the lowest floor, so a consideration if you have heavy suitcases although assistance was offered. Possible to walk down to the waterfront if not too hot but a steep uphill trek back! We used Ubers which are plentiful and low cost. Our double bed was a queen as opposed to king/super king. Larger rooms may have kings. Would we stay there again? Yes, definitely.

Aissa and her team were great hosts! Very friendly staff!Breakfast was lovely with the perfect view. and the rooms were very clean and decorated beautifully. Aircon abd ventilator in the room are awesome in the heat, mattress was also good. Honesty Bar is an added plus! Thabk you very much!

Spent 2 nights .Good room with views over Table Bay.Nice pool. Good Breakfast, friendly staff.Gave the location a 4star due to its narrow top road..with limited space in opposing traffic,but they do have a night watchman keeping an eye over your hire car at night.

One of the best stays in Cape Town ever. Beautiful place, safe, clean, ocean and stadium view, super friendly staff and the best host, Aissa! Taking real care of their guests, feels like home. Highly recommend to stay there. Seapoint and Greenpoint with all it's options, V&A and CBD around the corner.

We stayed in the apartment next door the to guesthouse. It has all the amenities you need - we stayed for 7 nights. 10 min down hill walk to Green Point, 25 mins to Mouille Point or Sea Point or V&A. It is high up so Uber best for return trips! Aissa and Ughetta were great hosts, and you can use the guest house pool as well. All in all, we would stay again in a heartbeat.

We were welcomed by Urghetta who was most gracious in making certain we had all the information needed for our stay in CapeTown. The property is situated atop the hill right above the Victoria & Alfred waterfront….very convenient & Uber works very well to get around. Our room was spacious, clean, & decorated with a charming African decor. There were several sitting areas in which to enjoy the property & of course, a beautiful pool as well.

My lovely wife and I stayed here for five days while we were in Cape Town and it was beautiful. The two story house is set up on the mountain overlooking Cape Town and the harbor. The view is outstanding. The house decor is antique and feels comfortable. The living room has a large wooden table where breakfast is served. It's also where other guests gather after a day of exploring sharing things to do and places to eat. The staff were attentive and kept the room spotless. Breakfast was pleasant. You could eat inside enjoying the view or outside on the patio. We had to leave early to go fishing on two days and the staff prepared us a breakfast to go and left it in the fridge. The bed in our room was comfortable with a large screen TV on the wall, which Lynn and I never turned on. There is a spiral staircase leading to a comfortable couch and the pool. It is also where the fully stocked refrigerator waits. There is beer, wine, sodas, and water all at surprisingly low costs. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Bluegum Hill guest house and would gladly stay again.

Stay here for 5 nights. What a lovely guest house! Backing onto Signal Hill, it offers great views. The guest house arranged the taxi pickup as we were arriving late, the driver showed us to our rooms. The owners (the sisters) were really helpful, giving info on Cape Town, safety and trips, etc, which was very much appreciated! The breakfasts were excellent and the staff were lovely!. There is a sun terrace, small pool and communal rooms, sofas, etc, which you can use. There is a well stocked honesty fridge with beers, wine, and water. The rooms have AC and were clean, tidy and comfortable! We really enjoyed our stay and great staff! Thank you!

Good place to stay for a visit to Capetown and the region! Abundant breakfast to start the day and a good place to relax after a long day. Very good view on the bay of Capetown. The hike up Signal Hill Starts at the door.
