Rouge en Rose definitely lives up to the hype! The rooms, service and location are top notch, and the host (Michel) was always very helpful and welcoming. The rooms and bathrooms were far better than those in more expensive hotels we have stayed at. In terms of value for money, this place can't be beat. The neighbourhood is very picturesque and there are a few trendy restaurants nearby. Great location for visiting all the sites in Cape Town.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights during our time in Cape Town. The staff was lovely, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was fantastic. They were super accommodating to our very late night arrival and very early morning departure. I loved looking out at the cute colors of Bo-Kaap every morning. There were a few loud vehicles in the night hours, but that would be expected in the city. I 100% recommend!

When I booked this room, I booked it due to the location to a tour I wanted to do. I initially had trepidation as it seemed too good to be true. The room, food, and service completely exceeded my expectations. The tub, the view, the breakfast, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was amazing. Should I ever come back to Caletown, I’m staying here!

Excellent overall value for this comfortable stay. The location is good and easily accessible. The room was large, clean and well appointed. The breakfast was excellent. Although breakfast was scheduled to start only at 7.30 pm, when upon our request a good breakfast (delicious house-made cereal, toast, juice and coffee) was provided at 7 am. Both brothers who own this establishment are friendly and helpful. More than a dozen international power outlets are provided in the room. Several food options exist within easy walking distance from this hotel. The inverter provided in the room was very helpful to combat the frequently scheduled power shut-downs in Cape Town; however, the unavailability of the power outlets during power shut-downs meant that a C-PAP machine could not be used. There is no elevator, but the staff helped us with the bags as our room was located in the third floor.

I truly love the Rouge on Rose Hotel. It is my favourite place to stay in town. The interior is unique, it offers everything you need, everybody is so friendly and hospitable, especially Michel an Jeanot Boutry who own the hotel. They point you to the best places (if you don't know them yet), Restaurants, Shops, Activities and book for you if you want to go somewhere special and don't have the time to do it yourself.

We've been her for the second time and still it was perfect. They are perfect hosts with a lot of informations and always there to help you. The breakfast is perfect too, Everything very personally. The hotel is very good located an the rooms are very nice.

Fabulous hotel. Clean, comfy, characterful and secure. Big rooms with added advantage of a sitting area and well stocked kitchenette. Hosts and staff couldn't have been more helpful. On the edge of the bo- kaap area, lots of lovely restaurants and coffee shops within a few minutes walk, little supermarket right next door and the V&A harbour only 5 mins in an Uber. Would very happily stay again when in Capetown.

We had a fantastic stay at Rouge on Rose. Michel & Jeannot were fantastic hosts. Large rooms, a great location, brilliant staff and good breakfasts. I'd thoroughly recommend it as a wonderful base for exploring Cape Town.
