Hotel Caesar Augustus

Anacapri|1.54km from Mount Solaro
From the moment one steps onto the pristine premises of Hotel Caesar Augustus in Capri, it becomes immediately evident that this is no ordinary destination—it is a sanctuary. Nestled atop the cliffs of this picturesque island, the establishment is not merely a hotel; it's a haven where souls find solace and rejuvenation. It is, without a doubt, a healing place. Before even setting foot on the island, the concierge staff's proactive approach was evident. Their impeccable coordination and meticulous attention to detail ensured that the transitions from ferry to hotel transportation were as seamless as the island's tranquil waters. The uncanny sensation of déjà vu pervades as you traverse the corridors, settle into the luxurious suites, or gaze out onto the azure expanse of the Tyrrhenian Sea. At Caesar Augustus, you don't just check-in; you return. You feel immediately at home, as if every prior journey has been leading you to this very moment, to this very place. The cherry on top, however, was the personal greeting from the owners son, Paolo, upon our arrival. His demeanor and enthusiasm made it seem as though we were two old friends who'd been separated by time and tide. Our conversations weren't merely about our stay but about life, dreams, and the ethereal beauty of Capri. With Paolo, there are no formalities or pretenses—only the sincere delight of reuniting with a friend. The staff, in their impeccable attire and warm smiles, further add to this sentiment. By the end of our first day, it seemed as though they knew us not just as guests but as members of this intimate family. They knew our name, approached us with genuine curiosity, and consistently sought ways to elevate our experience. It's one thing for a hotel to cater to a guest's needs, but at Caesar Augustus, they anticipate desires even before they've fully formed in one's mind. Our accommodations at the Caesar Augustus were nothing short of exquisite. Our stay was encapsulated by our room. It was a sanctuary of comfort and luxury, its expansive and pristine interiors opening up to a private terrace. From this vantage, the beauty of Capri unfurled in all its grandeur, offering moments of quiet reflection and awe. One of the first joys we discovered was the hotel's multi-acre garden, a verdant expanse of vegetables, fruits, and ancient olive trees. Wandering through this living tapestry, it was evident that nature's bounty was not just for the eye but also for the palate. This garden was the chef's secret pantry, ensuring that every dish was imbued with the freshest and most authentic flavors of Capri. Adding to the magic was a serene walkway along the property's cliff. With every step, the majesty of Capri unfolded, offering breathtaking vistas of the sea and sky. But it was the hotel's terrace that held the crown for the best view. From here, the vastness of the ocean met the horizon, creating a canvas of blues that seemed almost otherworldly. This panoramic marvel was acc

Hotel Weber Ambassador

This family run hotel, is the best hotel in Capri. Here are are the best reasons to stay here: A: Nicola, the manager. Is one of the warmest and kindest people you will ever meet. There is nothing impossible for him. He should teach a class on how to do hospitality correctly. He helped us out with lost phones, mixed up luggages, reservations at beach clubs and so much more. B: the location of this hotel is unbeatable. Overlooking Marina Piccolo, the yachts and Faraglioni. There are complimentary shuttles to the town and to the port. Also since they are accecible by their own shuttle, porter service isn’t necessary. C: the pool and the food - to have a nice pool to cool off to was a blessing. The breakfast buffet on the balcony was amazing was was the lunch menu by the pool. A few areas of improvement: A: the rooms are bare and could use an upgrade. We were not expecting luxury, but some basics amenities and decorations would help warm up the rooms. For example a separate shampoo, conditioner and body was instead of just a body wash B: being that it’s family run, there were staff members that I assume were family that were unhelpful such as the cranky uncle at the pool and the young lady at the reception who kept giving us a no answers to everything. We will be back soon. We loved our stay here

We went for the terrace restaurant for a lunch. We ordered our drinks and sharing appetiser to start, this was a mixture of rice and mozzarella arancini, dough balls, fried penne balls and zucchini (all vegetarian in both Italian and English translations on the menu). After this came we began eating, after having almost a full large fried pasta ball I noticed ham in the pasta inside the ball, my boyfriend opened the rest (including the one on my plate) and all these had ham inside - disclaimer I have been a vegetarian for 7 years and I have never eaten pork. My boyfriend told the host and the waiter and we were told it was on the menu so we asked for a copy of this, to which he read that is was not on the English translation. Then they said it was only one the Italian (the meat) however I translated the Italian section and again there was no mention of pork in the dish. I was given no apology at all from the restaurant and made to feel it was my fault they did not disclaim on their menu the ‘vegetarian’ dish contained pork. I was offered a small caprese salad as substitute for an apology (and substitute for taking away the dish). I declined numerous times for this salad as I felt sick from eating pork and still had my main coming. After the waitress asked 3-4 times if they can bring the salad I accepted. The main dishes were disappointing, at the end of the meal an aperol spritz - we hadn’t ordered - was put on our table, left for around 10 minutes then taken straight to the table behind us (from ours) as they made a mistake with the order, which seemed incredibly unhygienic. At the end of the meal the bill was incredibly high for the level of service given and food received. I will be taking this complaint further with the evidence I have as this is the first time I have ever experienced this breach of contract in the food industry and lack of apology after the action was done.

Great value nice big room, the best is that the hotel is not a big walk up and down the hill so to walk to town is easy. Strategically positioned within 8 mins of Prada lol but seriously. Total peace total quite. The pool is positioned perfect to give you option of sun and shade. The people working the pool did a great job allowing kids to play but not to the point it became annoying for My wife and I yo enjoy our adult trip. Hotel was a great value. I would take the sky team to the top and walk to hotel to save €50. I did an hour walk each morning while the city was still sleeping which was amazing! All the little wiring roads with so much to explore. The hotel staff worked as a team and always accommodating to any need. The person that look after the bar worked many hours always with a smile ready to greet me with a pink adult beverage to take the edge off. The price was right too!

Villa Marina Capri Hotel & Spa

Villa Marina is a sprawling resort on the world's swankiest island, Capri. With a hilltop setting, the property enjoys spectacular views of the Bay of Naples and the Amalfi coast. The perks of the Villa include: beautiful & romantic landscapes, gorgeous sea views, heated swimming pool, solarium deck, tantalizing culinary features, a chic spa, well equipped gym and world class hospitality. Rooms at the Villa vary in decor, having either a sea or garden view and are named after famous artists. I relished my Sea View suite with neutral color palette and floor to ceiling sliding doors. The bathroom was sleek with features like vessel sink and rain showerheads. The prize amenity was the furnished terrace with sea views. The Ziqu Restaurant and Terrace of the hotel gets top marks for it's Mediterranean/Caprese styled menu. I greatly enjoyed a mixed Pasta Dish with cauliflower, lime, and crispy panko bread. For my sweet tooth, I gobbled up some Coconut Ice Cream and Parfait with Mango and Passion Fruit Sauce.....equally enjoyable. So, if you seek a romantic ambience to your hotel staycation.............then try the ..............Villa Marina Capri.........Feels Like a Home Away From Home.
