Travelodge Carlisle Central

I've been hear at home from home at travelodge central at Carlisle and honestly it really is like being at home or your friends. The staff hear Kylie Jenny both joshes Michelle n everyone else I've not got the names of including the cleaning crew all make you feel like royalty not a guest I've been hear since March 2026 n and it's Saturday 18th July 2026 mainly because of how they make you feel like family...the rooms are modern very clean and lots of room it's all brilliant...unlimited tea coffee fantastic breakfast spoilt for choice from full English to continenta endless supply of orange &apple juice water the list goes on...as started saying the staff can't do enough for ya 24/7 reception too as well as bar n pizza for late night snacks...i really could go on and on and on oh and on...even the location is absolutely brilliant 👏 it's bang in centre for everything 5 -10 mins walk the lot....listen you'll not "NOT be disappointed with your stay hear home from home getting treated like royalty 🇬🇧👍 11/10 spot on 👍👌

I have spent quite alot of time here on business. And the hotel is Central to everything in the town. It is very clean and The staff are what makes this hotel Fantastic from the manager to the assistant manager to all the staff . Especially the night time staff, Kylie, Josh and the blonde hair Josh. Nothing is too much trouble, for them. A+++ THEY ARE A

Upon a very late arrival to this hotel, I was greeted by Josh on reception. Josh came across very polite,was genuinely making conversation with me asking me how my journey was and wether I had stayed there before. Josh was a credit to himself and Travelodge and put me at ease after a long journey. The room itself was a standard Travelodge room and had everything I expected and needed. One downside was the lack of a plug socket or USBs by the bedside. No air conditioning but a desk fan was available should I needed it. Excellent location, minutes from the citadel railway station and all amenities of Carlisle close by. Didn’t have a breakfast so can’t comment on that. If you’re looking for a city centre base this is ideal, clean and great stay.

Decent location 5 minutes from the train station . Friendly colleague on reception. I thought expensive for a travel lodge which is very very dated and the room smelt like curry . Not been in a hotel room for a long time with no plugs by the bedside . Needs an urgent upgrade . Lot of older males sat outside smoking . Did not feel the safest .

Location is just off the from the main city centre we were on the 3rd floor didn’t sleep all night warm way to hot even had a fan, wouldn’t stay again

Was greeted at the front desk by Gemma, she was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very immaculate and clean. The bed was also very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning is very nice with a selection of cereal or cooked food with vegan sausages available upon request (cooked to order)

Great location, 5 mins walk from train station. Rooms clean. Excellent welcome & service from staff member Josh. Great breakfast. Tasty & well presented.

Clean room smelled of dettol - so I suppose it was hygenic, Stuffy, no air con, curtains don't close properly (high ceilings and so you can't reach the curtains to close them properly). For the money very poor value and glad I wasn't with my wife. WIFI was rubbish. Paid for 24hr access and it constantly buffered and for many minutes at a time didn't work, which involved logging back on. Needed it for work so that was hopeless. Complained to front desk and all they suggest is to phone the virgin supplier. No manager on a Friday night and the junior staff had no authority to reund me for the wifi. Basically a hotel chain which does not care about guests, provides rather horrible rooms that are not value or money, and has outsourced services which don't work and they can't control.
