Ashleigh House

Wow, what a lovely b&b. Very comfortable and soo cosy, especially if your a solo traveller. The breakfast was the best I've tasted and good selection for a continental breakfast. The owner was very welcoming and makes sure your stay is good. A gem of a place

We haven’t actually stayed as a guest but I felt I must write a review as the owners customer service is so excellent. We had a problem after booking which meant an unfortunate change of plans. Ashleigh House were so accommodating that we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Absolutely fantastic stay!! Leanne soo welcoming and friendly, the room was stunning and those beds are heavenly! Rooms spotlessly clean and great shower. Tea coffee and biscuits all provided. The breakfast was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Leanne very accommodating with my request for well done bacon. Huge portions too! Overall a 5/5 and would gladly stay again if in Carlisle

What a really lovely place to stay. The owner is so accommodating and very friendly and so helpful. We stayed in room 3 although it was a little cold the owner said the heating was on a timer but if we wanted to we could request for more heating, we managed, the room was small but had all what we needed, the en-suite bathroom had a lovely shower cubicle plenty of hot water, the bed and pillows were so comfortable. We stayed for two nights with breakfast included I must warn you the breakfast is fabulous and plentiful too much for me but you can order what you want from the breakfast items. Overall would stay here again.

I stayed for 3 nights at Ashleigh House Bed and Breakfast in Carlisle in September, 2023. This was not for business, I was visiting friends. At first I looked at hotels but I could not afford them. I switched to Bed and Beakfast and I found Ashleigh House. This was the first time that I have stayed there and my first contact with the place. It proved to be an exceptional choice. I travelled to Carlisle by train and Ashleigh House is about 650 yards from the station and about half that distance from the bus station. There is some car parking next to Ashleigh House. It is a small B&B - about 6 or 7 bedrooms. All the rooms are en suite, well furnished and comfortable. The breakfast room is fine and the breakfasts are very good with ample choice. The proprietor, Leanne, is very helpful. indeed, on my last day it was raining and I wanted a taxi to the train station at 9am. two local taxi firms said that they were too busy with school runs. 9am was the end of breakfasts and Leanne drove me to the train station. What a great gesture.
