We stayed here in Carlisle as we had a wedding the next day, both of us are photographers. Honestly, hotel options in Carlisle are quite limited, especially when it comes to chain hotels. The Ibis was in a convenient location, just a walk away from the station and it’s part of a chain, which is a plus. However, the building felt a bit dated. There was no air conditioning, so without opening the windows, it felt stuffy. With the windows open, it wasn’t as quiet, and on rainy days, it felt a bit damp. Overall, comfort was average. Still, considering the location and price, it’s a decent option for a business traveler.

Positive: Friendly, helpful staff, very convenient location in the centre of Carlisle, parking included in the price. The room on 3rd floor was quiet on the Monday and Tuesday we stayed. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Negative: Carpets in the hallways were filthy needed pulling up and replacing. Room depressing with no pictures or colour felt very dingy.

I booked the Ibis because you know what you are going to get. Parking was easy. The hotel was in general good order. The room was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. To sum up, we got exactly what we expected from a reasonably priced hotel.

I stayed here for 3 nights and appreciated the location, which is near the railway station. The room is quite spacious, unlike other Ibis hotels I've stayed at before. They even allowed me to check in early at 1:13 pm, which is great! The things I don't like are the cleanliness the room is full of dust. Housekeeping is just removing the garbage in the room and fixing the bed but not even hovering the room. If you want party bars nearby this is the best place for you!!

We stayed in Carlisle for a couple of nights. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the station and close to the city centre. There were a lot of pubs and restaurants close by which was convenient. The hotel was clean and comfortable.
