Crown & Mitre Hotel

Check in wouldn’t let us check in 15 mins early so we went to pool and jacuzzi, around the pool was green with all the water lockers were rusty ceilings not good either I wouldn’t rush back there. But our room was spot on couldn’t fault it at all

Swimming pool still not open at the hotel. Smelt like done one had been smoking in the bathroom prior to our stay.

A very pleasant one night stay in a very comfortable standard room. Tea making facilities were welcomed and the Hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the station. Buffet breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. The building itself is a lovely historical place and we had a peaceful nights sleep. Bathroom was modern with a great sized shower.

We stayed in the new annex which had refurbished rooms. Room was a good size and in good condition. Only downside was the smell from the other guests smoking outside the entrance door - perhaps moving the smoking bin to another part of car park would remove this negativity. Staff were excellent, breakfast was excellent. Car park is limited in size and spaces are narrow so if you have a modern electric SUV it is extremely tight. There are two EV charge points but on our night we couldn't use them as other guests left their cars on charge overnight.

Staff very friendly and helpful parking on sight rooms in need of update, great location and walkable for resturants bars

Room was clean but small.windows rattled all night (had to put paper wedges in to try help.curtain was hanging of the rail . Great location but ive stayed in better in Carlisle that have been cheaper .also the carpark is tiny..my husband is disabled and had to park 400 yards away on both night's
