Reviews of Carlisle Station Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by BW

Clean, big room with good lighting. Rooms are a little dated. Elevator wasn't working.

Was good plenty of room nice view tea coffee hot chocolate couple of cokes and waters complimentary

Overall, our experience at the hotel was good, and we enjoyed our stay. However, the only disappointment was the parking situation. We had requested parking in advance, but we were informed that it operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so unfortunately, we were unable to get a space. We were advised to park at the nearby station car park, where there were plenty of spaces available. However, the parking charges were quite expensive. We parked at around 4:30 PM and left the following morning, but because the charge was £12.50 per day, we had to pay £25 in total. It would have been helpful if the parking arrangements and potential costs had been explained more clearly in advance. Apart from the parking issue, our overall experience at the hotel was good.

We enjoyed Carlisle very much. However, the hotel room (suite) was not what we booked and paid for. It should have had a sofa the whole reason i booked the suite but there wasn't one as advertised. There was suppossed to be a mini bar, bottled water, bathrobes and slippers and there was none of this. When i enquired about the sofa i was told it was removed as it was not fit for purpose.

Very convenient if arriving by train. Next to the station. Only slight disappointment was although they have a restaurant they don’t do evening meals only breakfast. Reception said that within a five minute walk there are numerous bars and restaurants .

The hotel location is great.  The hotel staff are very friendly.    The breakfast was good.  My only complaints were that the lift wasn’t working which meant trailing our luggage up 2 flights of stairs.  The water from the shower was cold and did not heat up at all.   All in all the hotel is just tired and in need of some investment and upgrading.

The staff very helpful and we enjoyed our stay. It was a tree star hotel and it was clean and the room was a good size.. Very good location and a comfortable bed.

A great location as its right next to the train station. Unfortunately the lift was out of action which was a nuisance. Pleasant staff.

Good stay in ideal location

Excellent location right outside the train station plenty of options close by should you want to eat out. Nothing you may need is to far away from the hotel including the town center

The Hotel and Staff were fantastic. A special mention to Natalie and Chad who went above and beyond during a crisis over water. They kept everyone fully informed about what was going on. If I could give a 20 out of 10, I would!!!!! Would i stay here again...yes most definitely. The rooms were big, clean and tidy. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Excellent stay Thanks Guys Diane Patterson

Great location next to the Railway station, friendly and quick check in, the breakfast we paid £10 decent buffet breakfast everything you could of wanted and the food was hot. There are some pubs close by so do expect some noise on a Friday and Saturday nights from people returning to the hotel but it's not their fault. Overall excellent stay worth the money book in advance for cheaper rates !

Didn’t use facilities but hotel nice clean location really good the only thing I would say the bathroom needed a good upgrade

Great staff providing lots of information regarding amenities. Super central location for Carlisle. Would recommend to any person travelling by rail. Car park wad also straightforward to use although a cost is incurred for parking.
