Very nice place. They had free coffee in the morning in the checkin area. Nice pool for amenities. Great location close to everything you need in Carlsbad.

Perfect spot for what we needed. Doing a job in the area and needed a place to go instead of driving all the way home and back. Great location and clean hotel. Price was unbeatable.

Not expect a lot. But the room condition(smell, cleanness) was not good. Especially the bathroom **;; Broken shower curtain rod ends, loosened curtain made a leaking water to outside.. Not expect a lot but things could be BETTER I believe :(

There was a lot of cigarette and pot smoke that got in our room. The grounds were very loud through the night.

- staff was intimidating and unfriendly. My key didn't work and the boy at the front blamed me for it. I didn't argue, I just allowed him to not be capable of accountability. And he looked high on something.
- motel 6 = families staying there, who were loud and walking the hallways as if it was their home.
- sketchy area, people trying to sell me stuff out of their cars.
Recommendation:
I didn't have the most amazing experience but I knew what I was getting myself into with a motel 6. So overall, i would say you get what you're paying for, just be safe.

My husband and I have been coming to this location since 2010. Our recent stay was horrific. We walked in the sink was flooded. We were told maintenance wasn't available. Nothing can be done about it. The next day maintenance was still unavailable, but two young men helped us drain it. Next, my husband and I we were bitten by something while sleeping. Ice machine was broken. We were to check out Wednesday at 11 am. We decided to leave Tuesday 10:30 pm. Too much inconveniences were occuring. This location held a sentimental meaning to us, but unfortunately after our recent experience we will not be returning any longer.

I was told I would have a downstairs room but when i arrived the girl at the front desk told me there were none remaining. I was also told I would have a microwave and refrigerator brought to me the next day which never happened over a 4-day period Very noisy people next door, a fight broke out, security and Carlsbad police came by they never answered their door. I lost sleep and peace of mind during this time front desk didn't do anything. They were always out of towels and there was no comforter on the beds. They were out of coffee one day. It was just not something you'd expect in a nice area of Carlsbad. Needless to say I will never be staying there again.

Short on linens but couldn’t get any. Bed and pillows the worst I’ve even experienced. Water pressure was terrible. Had a weird table/booth to sit in. Room was warm to hot. There was a controller but didn’t do anything. Wi-Fi weak to non and we were next to office. No carpet which was good(clean floors) but heard everything from above
