Reviews of Super 8 by Wyndham Meadowlands

This was by far the worst hotel experience I have had in the United States. The biggest problem was not the building itself, but the staff at the front desk. Every interaction felt unprofessional, dismissive, and unhelpful. Instead of trying to solve problems or make guests feel welcome, the attitude seemed to be: “This is not a five-star hotel, so don’t expect anything.” It honestly felt as if the reception staff were doing everything possible to damage the hotel’s reputation rather than improve it. Customer service was extremely disappointing, and basic hospitality was completely missing. I have stayed in many hotels across different cities in America, including budget hotels, and I have never experienced service this poor. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this property to other travelers.

Room smelled like it had been saturated with smoke. Not to mention the deadbolt and the light switch didn’t work. Unless you’re looking to potentially get robbed, DO NOT book here

Quiet hotel in Carlstadt new jersey .

The atrium was freezing vold but the room was ok. The bed was clean but the rest if the room was not. The breakfast was nonexistent. The checkin clerk at first said they were full so they couldnt change my husband's room to a nonsmoking room while my son check it out online which said there was s room available so the clerk changed the room. My hisband said while I am not picky, i would have walked into the room and said "heck no" and changed hotels. Finally my son described the bed as a mattress on plywood and uncomfortable. I would not normally complain but I expect more when I pay $223 and a hotel by Wyndam. Very disappointing. Choose another hotel. Sorry no pictures taken.

Not clean, noisy 2nd floor neighbour guest along the night. Smell of glass smoking frome outside.

Was OK, not good or bad for cheap hotel.

Building is old and not maintained. Rooms are old and not clean (dirt on the floor etc). A hotel to avoid.

The entrances to the rooms face each other, so I was a little worried about being seen by others going in and out, but the bed was big, the shower had hot water, and there was a refrigerator and hair dryer. The bus to NY is often about 20 minutes late, but there are many buses. You can't use credit cards on the bus, so you need to have some coins ready or download the app to buy a ticket in advance. I think it was about $5.15 one way to NY. At night, there are no lights or people, and only trucks are passing by, so it's a little scary, but if you run from the bus stop, you can reach the hotel in about 1 minute.
