This is a well located hotel, equally easy to walk to the beach or into town; big room (we stayed in #16 and #18); and friendly staff. But I’m really posting this review because we inadvertently left something valuable behind and the manager actually tracked us down to return it to us! The housekeeping staff (Catalina) immediately turned it into the office when she found it and the manager arranged to send it to us. It was not just honest, but it was thoughtful and caring and speaks volumes about their integrity and how they care for their guests.

We stay two nights at the Room #35 and everything was fine. A very large room with fireplace, nice decor with new furnitures and a balcony with chairs and table. The bathroom also is very good. The location is near of all you need to enjoy Carmel. Free parking and Internet. A small Continental Breakfast was send to our room every morning. Sharon take care very well of the Lodge in all details.

We have stayed here many times over the last 20 + years, and enjoy the warmth and homeyness. The staff is very friendly, and the location is our favorite in town. We like opening the windows for a cool ocean breeze, and also the coziness of the fireplace. We got a King Suite this time, and the bed was very comfortable and the sheets very crisp. They bring a continental breakfast each morning, which is simple, but a nice offering to accompany your coffee or tea (made in-room). Tip: The iconic "Carmel Beach" is a short (steep) walk from the hotel. Be prepared to climb that hill back up, but it is well worth the trip!

Just like 7 years ago, the Lobos Lodge is beautiful, serene, clean, in a perfect location and has great staff. If you go to Carmel (and you definitely should), stay at the Lobos Lodge. The rooms are tastefully done and give off a beachy cottage-y vibe while still being elegant. We completely enjoyed our stay! Room 14 was so spacious!

We love Lobos Lodge. Back for the 7th year, same room every year. My wife had stayed here a year or so before our first stay. Great location, very comfortable room, great staff, continental breakfast. . .A very short walk down the hill to the ocean. A majestic view. Will be back next year.

The employees are very courteous/helpful, the rooms are quiet,/clean/comfortable, with very comfortable beds and the fireplace is refreshing! Continental breakfast is very good and nutritious, the location in Carmel is second to none: close to the Beach and all Downtown shopping and dining!

Good location. Paper thin walls - we could hear EVERYTHING from the guest room above us. Hotel told us they were lacking staff so they couldn’t provide normal services. - same price though. Ground floor room was basically below ground level. Although we booked a room for 3 (daughter with us) they up charged us when we arrived. They mentioned the up charge was because they needed to provide additional services to the room. However, as they mentioned, when we first walked in, they were short on staff and couldn’t provide additional services. Seems disingenuous and wrong.
