With great sadness we were told that Svengaard's will be closing on Dec 1st. We have loved staying here! It's pet friendly. Staff is very personable. Rooms are clean. It's close to eveything! Shops, restaurants, groceries, wine tasting, etc. Sad to see it close.

The Svendsgaard's Inn's reception cafe wonderful and the hot chocolate unforgettable, the location is perfect..... The room too space is too small because two sofas and the TV cabinet are too big, the bath room is small too, and the mattress too soft

We live in New Zealand and have stayed here several times. Quiet location, short walk to restaurants and main Ocean Ave. Post office nearby. Nice rooms with comfortable bed, some with a peek of the ocean, quiet classical music playing as you enter. Some short stairs. Great staff.

Comfortable room with a fireplace, kitchenette and tile floors that were great for the dogs. Bed was excellent and lots of space in the living area. Common area was great for the dogs. Rooms a little dated, but excellent value. Everything is walkable from here. Quiet part of town just minutes from everything.

Nice room with fireplace and kitchenet, soft bed. Great location - very close - walking distance - to Ocean Ave, plenty of restaurants, wineries, gallerias. Carmel is beautiful place for any kinds of vacations - a lot of fun for any tastes and ages

Lovely hotel in a great location. Our room was spotless with lots of windows and partial view of the ocean. The bed was especially comfortable. Staff was personable and helpful with local information. Hotel is located fairly central in downtown Carmel with easy walks to restaurants, galleries and shops.
