The hotel is in the midst of extensive refurbishment but this did not impact us at all. The Premier Plus room was small but adequate and well furnished with extra facilities - iron and ironing board, coffee pod machine, pleasing toiletries and enhanced decor. It was clean and modern and very comfortable. We had an excellent night's sleep followed by a varied and delicious breakfast with attentive and friendly staff on hand. Yes it's a budget hotel but within that context I can see no reason to cavill or to complain. Well done in my opinion.

Rooms not cleaned unless requested £15 taxi to the town centre Standard room £590 four nights stay (room only) Reception normally lacking receptionists Requested a room clean 1/ waste bin emptied 2/ coffee cups replaced 3/ bedding not changed 4/floor not swept 5/ no internal telephone 6/quilt just thrown on the bed I worked for Whitbread for many years as a public house manager the motto then was Service,Standards and Value. None of these I received . This is purely for the premier inn and not the beefeater attached. I definitely would NOT return

Young lady at the reception seems to be in rush, in about 20 seconds gave me what I assumed is the worst room ever, at least on my personal experience sleeping every week at the premier inn. Room n1 is for people with disabilities, when I went back asking why she said has been booked too late that is clearly an excuse. The bed is about 25 inches from the floor, everything looks really old. Bathroom just big but no water pressure for shower. Dinner was a mess too. Wrong starter so I asked to get just a mixed grill, the steak is just a peace of fat that even my dog can refuse. Such a shame, I always have a good time at the Premier Inn in UK but this is is a place to void

I stayed at Premier Inn Truro for two nights last week and got bitten by bedbugs. See pictures. As I was checking out I discreetly showed the bites to one of the receptionists because I didn't want to make a fuss (more fool me!) who told her colleague that they had a 'situation', (interestingly neither of them looked surprised), took my details, and promised to investigate and call me to let me know the situation and 'in case anything was due to me'. It's a company booking so anything due would go to them and I told her that. Some of my colleagues who were on the same floor and checked out later than me (they have a car and I'm on the train), recall seeing a room with the entrance secured and taped around with a large plastic sheet (fumigation perhaps?) The next day nobody called, so by late afternoon I rang and spoke to someone called 'Tracey' who was very defencive and refused to admit or take any responsibility for the bites. Now, I have to say that I only wanted a 'yes, we've looked into it, dealt with the situation, thanks for bringing it to our attention' and perhaps some concern and understanding for what I was going through because as said, I had nothing to gain as a refund would go back to the company. Instead I got attitude, which left a bad taste in my mouth, even the colleague who was with me at the time was shocked (I had the call on speakerphone). I have since learned if you ever get bitten by bedbugs in a hotel you should search the bed and room for signs of the little buggers (eeoow!), take pictures, get the staff to make an incident report and demand a refund (hence the more fool me). After I got home I found one (dead I think) on a one of my tops after boil washing all my clothes. Should have taken a picture then, but I was so freaked out I flushed it down the toilet! And before anyone says it could be mozzys or midges that flew in, I always sleep with the window closed because I hate creepy crawlies and I get a bad reaction from insect bites as you can see from the pictures. Plus the telltale signs of bedbugs bites were present. Other than the bedbugs, the room was nice and a good standard. And that, dear readers, is my experience of Premier Inn Truro and if I had a choice I wouldn't stay at a Premier Inn again, let alone the one in Truro!

This is a fantastic hotel. Located just a few miles outside the city of Truro, it offers a wonderfully quiet and peaceful atmosphere, especially in the evenings. The staff were brilliant throughout my stay—genuinely friendly, welcoming, and polite. Additionally, my room was spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable, and offered excellent value for money. I would highly recommend staying here.

As usual the room was fine. Clean and well maintained. However my issue is with the bar ( Beefeater) . We came to Truro for a show at the Hall for Cornwall and afterwards deliberated at whether to grab a drink in town or bus back to the hotel to use the bar there. We checked the closing time which gave 11.00 so decided to return. Arrived at the bar at 10.00 only to be informed that it had just closed. The hotel is situated quite a way out of town with no other facilities available so this brought an early ending to what had otherwise been a lovely evening. Very disappointing.

Arrived for my short stay for business to be met by smiley happy faces behind the reception desk. Stayed in a prem plus room, which was spotlessly clean. Had a great night's sleep, and a great breakfast the following morning. A bit of a no brainer, I definitely would recommend a stay here 😀

Staff extremely helpful and obliging and created a general happy atmosphere. Room was clean and well serviced. Didn’t experience any noise in our room. The location is fairly central to that area of Cornwall, most places easily accessible. Got to say, overall good value for money. The only downside is that our room was quite a trek from reception, to help with that staff opened other access doors to allow us to get heavy items of luggage in and out more easily.

We had one of the new rooms which was very nice, although a very long walk from reception with luggage. All the people on reception were excellent and very helpful with information etc especially Tracy, Chloe and Amanda. Would highly recommend recommended.

We needed a hotel near to Truro hospital, fairly late. Managed to book two rooms, the staff were so welcoming, as were the girls in the Beefeater

First visit and first impression not good. The place looked tired and neglected and on negotiating the access ramp we couldn't help but see hundreds of cigarette butts and dead leaves on the ground. A dog water bowl that hadn't been cleaned or refilled for weeks. Whitewashed walls green with mould and mildew. Lights not working to illuminate the ramp at night. Reception; Brilliant! Lovely ladies on the desk who couldn't do enough for us. A little issue quickly sorted. Room; a bit like the outside of the building. Neglected, old, chipped paintwork and doors, in need of some TLC or a complete overhaul. Beefeater restaurant next door; Building much the same as the hotel. Cracked window pane in the front entrance door and chipped and scuffed paintwork and walls and doors and old food splatters on the wall and radiator a proper clean would work wonders. Food; I have to be honest the food was great! I had the Hoisin Ribs which were some of the best I've ever had! My wife had the Rump steak which she said was perfectly cooked and a lovely taste and texture. Staff friendly and helpful. Would we go again...yes.

Tired looking hotel with enormous number of rooms. It was a VERY long trek to get to our room and no lifts. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet with good shower. Food at the adjacent Beefeater restaurant was OK but quite pricey. Need to ask for a room close to reception if you have mobility issues like me.

Was down for the football following Carlisle United. Great prices & excellent breakfast! Staff were great! Well located & handy for a trip into Truro city centre via taxi or bus. Wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else again if I visit Truro again!

Good location, great value hotel, especially in family room with 2 children. Staff all very nice, the young man working in the breakfast room deserves a pay rise. I’ve never seen anyone work so hard and yet remain so calm and pleasant (18th & 19th April).

We stayed at the Truro Premier Inn & the staff on reception, when we checked in on Sunday 12th April, were Martin & Jen. They gave us such a friendly welcome and showed great understanding of our family's complex needs. They could not do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you Martin & Jen 10/10
