This hotel is OK and very close to shopping mall, restaurants, banks and bus stop for bus to downtown Santa Barbara. Some of the staff were very helpful

My ac in the room didn’t work. The vents were rusted, and wasn’t a pleasant experience

The room is quite big, just an ordinary hotel that is convenient for traveling. There is no service and the price/performance ratio is definitely poor.

The location is relatively remote. It takes more than half an hour to take a taxi from the UCSB campus to the hotel, and the taxi fare + tips is about $40. There is an Albertsons supermarket and convenience store nearby, a small swimming pool, and not much else. There is a public bus at the entrance of the hotel lobby to the city. However, when you get to the city, you still have to transfer to another bus to get to UCSB. The whole journey takes about one and a half hours.
Although the price is cheaper, the location is not very convenient.

There was no breakfast or microwaves in the rooms you had to upgrade to studio to get these anminities beds were uncomfortable staff was great

Keeping in mind that this is a budget motel, it's extremely well managed. The staff is excellent. The pool and grounds were very well maintained. My room had a contemporary feel, was well-appointed and well kept up, as were the grounds. I've stayed at lots of budget motels. This is a particularly nice one. The location is great, too. So, five stars for what they offer for the dollar.
