I recently had a fantastic stay at CL-8. The staff made communication easy and made me feel welcome. Overall, their efforts towards inclusivity really made my stay all the more enjoyable, breakfast was amazing also. Recientemente tuve una estadía fantástica en CL-8. Beautiful intimate boutique hotel right in Old Town Cartagena. A step away from the city gates and within walking distance to all the sites so it was a great location to stay. Rooms were clean with a comfortable bed, nice sheets and good A/C. As expected being within the city it can get loud at night with all the street noise but that’s part of the experience! Thank you to Jason, Santiago, and Carlos for their recommendations and hospitality!

Positives- Comfortable sized pool with towels included. Nice space to relax and enjoy the sunshine. It was often empty so we had it to ourselves. Small bathroom but the shower was powerful and hot. Location was okay and nearby to shops and restaurants. Negatives - The room was very small and very basic in comparison to other rooms on offer at the hotel which we saw. The floor was littered with ants. The WiFi didn’t connect for two days and when it finally did, it didn’t connect properly. From the moment we arrived the reception staff were disinterested in us and not very welcoming at all which was very disappointing as we stayed there over the Christmas period and arrived on Christmas Day. However, the ladies who ran breakfast and cleaned the rooms were brilliant. We selected the pre-payment option but despite contacting the hotel 3 times prior to our arrival they still did not charge us. When we checked out, the woman was incredibly unhelpful, rude and laughed at us. They wouldn’t charge the card we gave when we booked the hotel and so we had to use a different card on check out. The lady who checked us out was very rude and didn’t bother to even ask if we needed a taxi, how our stay was or say goodbye.

Excellent service. staff working there is very friendly and service. food is very good, the menu is varied and healthy. The hotel is very well located, allowing you to visit and know different sites nearby, including the beach.

Everyone was so friendly, and helpful and I had a wonderful stay 🌟 I travelled from the UK and stayed here whilst at a work conference and then explored the city for a couple of days. The hotel was in the perfect location and I would definitely come again.
