Super 8 by Wyndham Omaha Eppley Airport/Carter Lake

The TV screen looks to be broken - not going to try to use it. The AC was set at 61 - that's what it is outside - don't need to be that cold. The light fixture above the table does not turn on - it only blinks. 1 towel in the bathroom. The screen on the AC unit is all broken.

If you can afford nicer--stay somewhere else We arrived at night and despite being just one block off of the main drag, the area seemed fairly sketchy--a couple homeless people hanging out nearby, others loitering around. It's an old hotel, and its age shows. Probably built 30 years ago and never had any updates done. The room smelled musty and we debated if we would rather sleep in our vehicle. We ended up leaving the Super 8 and going down the road and staying at the Best Western Plus instead.

Floors in lobby and hallway dirty. Bedspread and carpet in room worn out. Furniture in poor condition. There was a hole in the bathroom door.

3 rooms toilets over flowing not clean I have stayed at motel 8 before and I know they are not great but this was disgustingly dirty unsanitary was afraid to sit in a chair it was so late that I did not have an option to go elsewhere. Torn carpets door in one room hard to open close. I have seen dorm rooms and airports cleaner than this even homeless shelters do better. Staff was friendly and shuttle on time. How do 2 out of three rooms have toilets over flowing no wash cloth in one room tv remote did not work in a room another room had no remote no cups in a room ice buckets dirty. I would have been better off going to the airport and sleeping there.

Property looked OK, but our room door hung up on opening and closing. Toilet lid didn't fit and did not flush good.

Check-In was fine. Property is very dirty and ran down. When we entered the room it was hot and stinky. The refrigerator did not work. I pulled back the sheets to look at the bed and there was hair and crumbs stains all over the bed. There was a blood droplet on one of the pillowcases. Behind the refrigerator and beside the desk was food ground into the carpet and trash behind it. We returned the keys to the front desk and no one asked us why we wasn't staying wasted outside for an hour waiting for a shuttle to our other hotel and no one ever came and asked what was wrong with the room. Horrible experience. I have pictures to post.

An old janky bbq grill next to the front door. 8 empty flower pots next to the front door, partially filled with cigarette butts. Overflowing trash cans by the front door. The front door was broken and the glass hadn’t been cleaned in about 3 years. The corridors haven’t been vacuumed in a very long time. Despite low occupancy, I was placed a long way from the entrance. The room entry door wouldn’t latch unless forced. The card key had to be reprogrammed 7 times. Despite a non-smoking room, there were cigarette burns on the counter and bedspread. The AC unit was filthy. The landscape beds were filled with weeds. The grass hasn’t been cut in a year or two.
