Cleanliness of the room at a very poor level, dirty floor, spiders on the ceiling, unpleasant smell in the rooms and the bedding itself.

We came 2nd-8th march for my birthday get away. The hotel had only just reopened for the season the day we arrived and although the staff were still figuring things out an getting it all set up and ready they were still absolutely amazing and friendly, nothing was ever to much trouble and they couldn’t do enough for us. All the staff were lovely and really good at their jobs but need to give a special shout out to the lady who works in the day time (hilder or helger her name is) she is a beautiful woman inside and out we all absolutely loved her she’s a credit to the hotel and made are experience that bit more enjoyable just having her there in are presents. The accommodation was MASSIVE we had 3 bedrooms an 3 bathrooms on 2 floors & the cleaners came every single day with fresh towels, toilet paper & give the place a clean. It is out the way a there isn’t a shop onsite but you have a super market down the road which was cheap enough to get there and back in a taxi to stock up on everything we needed. There is a shuttle down to the town and back a few times a day which we used quite a few times & if you wanted to stay down there the taxi back later on was only 5euros so that was fine. Definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a quieter more relaxing holiday and we will definitely be returning to this hotel.

We are currently here, was a very last minute booking to enable myself recover from a terrible illness. (At home they think I'm superwoman), arrived about 11 am, For what we paid i was not expecting a lot, the guy on reception was nice enough. But the room was not ready, we had a look around the resort, I found it to be clean, and quiet. Just what I needed, went to the bar area, the staff were so nice and kind, the food was not that great, but they catered to my needs, When In the apartment. We was pleasantly surprised, you could actually live here, all rooms were large, had everything we needed for a self catering holiday, we have not been S.C for over 10 years, the apartment was spotless, we went to the bar in the evening for food, however it was inedible, the staff again were nice enough. I would advise you to eat out of the complex, a taxi is £3 - £5, I use the bolt app, like uber but for Europe. In a nutshell I would return, but when we are older, nothing for young kids to do except a park and the pool

Overall we had a good family experience. The complex was rustic and pretty with flowers but needs serious maintenance work around the pool area. The rooms are spacious, old but clean. A huge plus is the staff experience, all encounters were friendly and helpful, lovely people. Depends on the time of year but we were inundated with mosquitoes so advice is keep doors windows locked and aircon on.

We had a 3 bed apartment. It was huge. Loads of space. We didn't cook much but the kitchen is well equipped with new electric hob, oven, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and microwave. Furniture is dated and a bit shabby but that didn't bother us. There isn't much soundproofing. But we had mostly quiet neighbours. There are sliding doors between two of the bedrooms so privacy is a bit limited. Pool is nice. No scrabble for loungers. Ate in the restaurant and snack bar which was fine. Like most restaurants around Portugal, they do grilled meat and fish well. But other otions are ok. Staff were all lovely. We didn't have a car. Uber and the shuttle bus were enough for us. I think it would be a pain to find parking anywhere around the town anyway.

Just home from a week here, with 3 children. Apart from the fact you need a taxi to get anywhere, it's been an absolutely amazing week. Clean, comfortable, nice pools, lovely restaurant and food and the staff are really friendly. The weather was amazing, even though it sas the beginning of the season. Local area is beautiful and people are very friendly. A special mention has to go to Pedro in reception. What an amazingly helpful and genuinely nice fella. Nothing was too much trouble. He gave advice on places to go, booked taxis for us and genuinely made us feel welcome.

Rooms a bit dated but the village itself so lovely. Staff amazing especially Jessica behind the bar so friendly and accommodating and would definitely and will definitely be returning. Carvoeiro itself one of the most gorgeous towns I've ever seen with some really good little bars and restaurants. An untouched gem with amazing food and people

While the staff were genuinely lovely and the price was fair, the apartment itself wasn’t great—dated, uncomfortable, and just not very clean. The pool and facilities were fine, nothing amazing but usable, and the location worked, even if it wasn’t super central. It wasn’t a terrible stay, but I wouldn’t be in a rush to book it again.

The apartments here are very old, dirty, broken, dated and need closing and refurbing. The beds and sofas were so uncomfortable. This was not a good experience for us, there was no extraction in the bathrooms and by the end of the week we had A LOT of mould on the walls around the apartment. We found bugs daily around the apartment due to an underlying damp issue. Fridge was old and not very cold, kettle leaked and the downstairs sink leaked. The pool tiles were broken around the edges and my kids and myself cut our hands and feet. Most of the sun beds were broken or we're old and very uncomfortable. Indoor pool is just as cold as the outdoor pool. When we complained the alternative was to move to an identical apartment with the same if not lesser quality. The apartments have potential but need to be refurbished and some money spent.

Hotel is what you pay for. I paid £800 for a week including transfer, flights, luggage and to sit together on plane. In fact I was pleasantly suprised with the room. We had a 1 bed apartment which was perfectly clean on arrival then cleaned daily with exception on Easter Sunday. The children had a pull out sofa in the living room. Kitchen was fully functional however clearer instructions for oven/hob would be helpful as they'd worn off but we worked it out. We shopped at inter marche which was €5 in a taxi to go stock up for the week. The pools are freezing and I mean like an ice bath! Both indoor and out. The bar service was outstanding, the staff are super friendly and polite especially in the day. We ate there one night and it was decent enough. Family of 4 dinner, garlic bread, puddings and 6 drinks came to €70. Location is a bit out of the way but the hotel offers a free shuttle 3 times a day. We enjoyed the walk approx 30/40 minutes and looking at the beautiful surroundings. The town is lovely with the caves to climb, little beach cove, shops, restaurants and bars. Do not use reception to book taxis for further afield. They quoted me €35 each way to zoomarine but I downloaded the bolt app and it was €15 each way!!! They also over quoted me for them to book the tickets so I paid online and it was €20 cheaper, even if you turned up on the day it was cheaper. I hate being ripped off so be careful with them. I found the reception staff to be extremely rude and dismissive which really let's the hotel down. WiFi is free but we could only get reception at reception!! There are a lot of bugs at night so take spray of your prone to getting bitten, avoid playground at night as its crazy with mosquitos. I sat down and in 1 minute I had 8 chomping on my leg 😂 Take a mug of you like a decent cuppa as the ones provided are tiny! All in all a decent stay for cheap and cheerful. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere around the hotel but it was just a base for us to explore Portugal.

We arrived late and were given apartment 17A. This place had mould in every room apart from that it was a nice place. In the morning, when we told Pedro at the reception, he put us in apartment 10. Apartment 10 was much better. There was a little bit of mould, but nothing in comparison to the previous apartment. The apartment was spacious and quiet for the most part of our stay. Everything looked very similar to the rooms. In the future, I would bring a sponge to wash the dishes. I would also bring mosquito repellent as I was bitten a few times, but my husband was not. They were flying around my ears as I slept. Cleaners came in every day and made the beds. They leant me a hair drier that had little power to it. I will bring my own next time. We would come and stay again. We hired a car, so this was the perfect spot to come back to to rest.
