We had a lovely stay at quiet and pretty Castiglione del Lago and hotel La Torre functioned perfectly well as our base camp. The town itself is small but very nice and the location makes it fantastic to go around the lake Trasimeno and visit the surrounding Umbrian and Tuscan villages. Hotel room was spacious, but a bit noisy. Bed comfortable. Everything worked really nicely. Breakfast was good, especially coffee and sweet pastries. The staff is super friendly and helpful. In TripAdvisor, there is a mention that the hotel rents bikes, but it is not. However they will happily advice where to get bikes - and exactly where we rented ours for 2 days. There is also an e-bike rental directly at the old town, but we wanted manual ones so there is in a rental place within short walking distance from the hotel. We had a wonderful stay at hotel La Torre and I would recommend it to couples who want to see around the lake area.

This was a great location. It was right in the middle of the little medieval town. The host of the hotel was very friendly & accommodating. It was very clean. We walked around in the evening along the shore by the lake. The hotel was very reasonable too.

Albergo molto carino nel pieno centro di Castiglione del Lago; proprietari gentilissimi e molto disponibili. Camera molto ampia, pulitissima e profumata, ampio bagno con set di cortesia e asciugamani. Colazione ottima e abbondante. Consigliatissimo.

Da fuori l’hotel si presenta bene. Peccato che poi ci si trova in stanze in cui lo scarico dell’acqua dai lavabi, funziona male. Il bidet non ha il tappo funzionante, vengono dati solo due asciugamani a testa. Doccia e faccia. Quello del bidet non è dato. La colazione è di livello mediocre. I cornetti sono rinsecchiti ed appaiono del giorno prima. La frutta a disposizione è contata. Altra scoperta negativa, la piscina è da pagare a parte e non è compresa nei. Osti della stanza, senza però che vi sia alcuna informazione su Booking. Non lo consiglio.

siamo stati solo una notte ma era tutto perfetto, il gestore è super cordiale. colazione memorabile, si mangia un sacco e soprautto bene. letti molto comodi, in più c'è pure la scelta dei cuscini. doccia ok, bagno ok. unica micro pecca è che il condizionatore modificava le impostazioni da solo (ma probabilmente siamo noi che non lo sapevamo usare) se ricapiteremo in quella zona sicuro sarà tappa fissa ＜3

Ottimo Hotel in pieno centro storico di Castiglione del Lago, non potevamo fare scelta migliore. La camera era grande e pulitissima, colazione spettacolare e l'accoglienza calorosa dei proprietari ci ha fatto sentire come a casa. Torneremo sicuramente!

Grazie all'ospitalità di Roberto e sua sorella, abbiamo trascorso il ponte di Ognissanti a Castiglione del Lago. Ci sono state assegnate 2 camere matrimoniali, una al primo e una al secondo piano. Entrambe spaziose, con un bagno di dimensioni più che adeguate, e una perfetta pulizia giornaliera. I due proprietari sono persone squisite, veramente alla mano, in grado di rendere il nostro soggiorno sicuramente indimenticabile. Se avete intenzione di fare una sosta per spezzare un lungo viaggio, oppure un posto da dove far partire un tour in Umbria, ma anche in Toscana, di certo Castiglione del Lago è un'ottima base, oltre ad essere un borgo che già da solo vale una visita qui - e non vi pentirete della scelta dell'Hotel La Torre. La colazione è abbondante, e anche superlativa. Noi di certo lo terremo in considerazione per nuove visite in Italia centrale.

L’hotel è proprio nel centro storico, sulla strada pedonale, ricca di negozietti, ristoranti, bar, norcinerie… il parcheggio per l’auto non è distante. La posizione centrale permette di muoversi tranquillamente a piedi per visitare il borgo. La struttura, gestita dai proprietari gentili e disponibili, e’ ricavata dalla ristrutturazione di un antico palazzo; le camere sono arredate con raffinatezza, pulitissime e dotate di ogni confort. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Ringrazio il titolare che ci ha concesso due camere , anche per una sola notte, nella settimana di ferragosto. Se volete visitare Castiglione del Lago, vi consiglio proprio questo hotel, per l’accoglienza, la pulizia, la raffinatezza, la tranquillità e la comodità .. il tutto ad un buon prezzo!
