Brilliant location. Very good facilities. I had a private ensuite room. Very friendly staff. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful reception and chilling area. Balconies over looking the main square. It is noisy as lots of restaurants, entertainers singing and people around till early morning. However this didn't mar my enjoyment. There were tea/ coffee making facilities. Breakfast was basic but nice. Evening happy hour with cheap cocktails and free pasta was really nice. Rooftop bar and snacks place is a must. Beautiful view of Etna. Delicious pizza. Lots of things to see and experience within walking distance. Lots of shops, bars, cafes and icecream parlours. I would definitely book again.

incredible. one of the best hostels i’ve ever been to. had so much fun, met so many people, the staff was great, the (free) meals were really tasty and the hostel is in the city center. i would recommend this to anyone that is backpacking and is searching for fun times in catania :)

Really cool hostel! I love that it’s situated in an old building and you have frescos on the ceilings :) The rooms are spacious, each bed has curtains for privacy. There are lockers, but you need your own padlock. Each bed has its own power socket and lamp. You can buy it at the reception. Breakfast is included (simple croissant, fruits, coffee/juice/tea). They also serve homemade pasta every evening at 8:30 pm. Really delicious. There is a fully equipped kitchen which you can use to prepare your own food. The bathrooms are very clean and there are lots of shower gels, shampoos etc left from previous guests so don’t worry if u don’t have one. The highlight of Ostello is their rooftop bar with an amazing view of Etna. Also for hostel guests, you get happy hour at their rooftop bar between 9-10 pm. The hostel is located right at the Plazza Universitaria, so it is noisy in the evenings/at night (especially on the weekends). But with earplugs, you can sleep without problems :)

Forgot my Airpods there, now I am waiting that they give them back to me. Hostel has a nice community room with a pingpong table and the location is superb. The rooms with bathroom are in a different building. Breakfast and pasta as dinner is included.

Third time staying at this hostel for a reason- it's the best! Rooms, staff, amenities and the free breakfast and dinner all make this place the best hostel in Sicily ＜3 Very fond of this place and will come back any time I return to the island.

Unclean and needs regular maintenance investment. I was in room 205, in a separate bldg; rooms 201-205 are a suite w a common room space on the third floor; 1 toilet, 1 shower for approximately 15 people. Facilities were dirty and felt unsafe. Lighting was minimal. Location is good but not worth the tradeoff of cleanliness and available facilities. First time I left a hostel and I’ve been in many. I arrived at 2a and left the next morning as soon as I found alternate accommodation.

If you are going to Catania this is an absolute must! Unlike any hostel I've ever stayed at, unbelievable value for money and the staff are unparalleled- not to mention the roof terrace and tequilla bloody marys ＜3 Thank you Ostello :)
