Room type is satisfactory .... I'm sorry to leave a negative review but at our arrival we found a parking (which was told us reserved) but consisting of an irregular stop on the foot. A bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with a bed with At the arrival we found the used bathroom and without even having had the delicacy and wisdom to pull the wc discharge ... a shower with the discharge closed and slow to sweep and ...small little little that would have used it comfortably only the seven nani! Breakfast, which was to be served in room... let's stay! We had to go down to the convenient bar because they have not even a phone or a form to fill in for breakfast management! .. I'm sorry, but the structure (although new and with decently furnished rooms) is not well managed! That then ... soon did not even leave us the remote control of the air conditioning system if not required! I'm sure we didn't communicate bedrooms to the owner only because they were three in the night and it seemed bad to us! ...but to shame it was only him! Moreover, when he called at 8 a.m. to ask for breakfast he did not even answer the phone and he was heard only after about 30 minutes when we had already resolved from us!

I really wanted to enjoy this hotel/bed & breakfast but I cannot recommend to anyone. I've waited a week before writing this review - I booked through ******* who funnily enough won't let me write a review...is it because there are known problems I only stayed 1 night out of 3 without any goodwill refund! There was no welcome checkin ust call a number and send over your passport info in exchange for a pass code to gain entry - very impersonal - also told to leave tourist taxes money on the side in my room (not likely as no receipt!) The place is clean but it's also very dark the room has ensuite but the step is double the normal (building regulations) height which is dangerous for anyone well or afflicted in anyway there was Breakfast food in the room but only coffee and water to drink no tea! There is a TV which dominates the room but worst of all the bed faces the door so your feet point outwards to the door VERY BAD sleeping position and finally the door handle came away in my hand on arrival prior to even entering the room! BUT this was fixed before bedtime. I cannot recommend this place to anyone - I expect the owner who had other matters to tend with instead of welcoming guestswas happy to meet me on my departure but reluctant to refund the remaining two days stay which is understandable as it was booked through ******* whom I do not trust anymore as they don't vet their properties so whats the point! There needs to be someone to welcome guests -there needs to be light in the place to make it welcoming and the bed position needs to be reviewed and most importantly the step to the ensuite is danpgerously high. I wish I didn't have to say all this but its true. I see that previous reviewers of this place have endured the owner wrath in response - but I'd like to say take the reviews as an opportunity to learn and improve the property not as a personal attack.

CAUTION. Unrecognizable from photos. Summary: very unpleasant experience - we literally ran away. First, it is located in a bad neighborhood of Catania, which is very dirty and shabby. There was nobody on site to welcome us, but piece by piece, we received silly instructions to enter the building via WhatsApp, requiring us to check our phone every other minute. The building was very old and shabby (see pictures), had a gigantic container of construction rubble in front (see pictures) and the staircase to the second floor was dirty and disgusting. Room Lavica (which they call a “standard double” room) was a shabby, old, poorly lit room, with poorly working air conditioning. Immediately, we noticed a horrible stain on a pillow (see pictures). When we asked to change the pillow - everything via WhatsApp - we were told that somebody would come to change it. They did come at one point and put another pillow in a common room on a table. Again, nobody was available to talk to. The light was very dim and flickering the whole time. The window opened a view on the shabby courtyard with horrible dirty pipes. One could literally hear everything the other person does in the bathroom, because the windows of bathroom and living room are adjacent and positively do not close. There were ants in the bathroom, which was shabby and old as well. The mattress was completely creaky and the whole bed was making noises. There were multiple smudges on the wall, and the frame of the door to the room was not properly fixed to the wall, so you can see the corridor outside (see pictures). It is likely not secure. In the room, the floor was dirty (dusty and dirty footprints - see pictures). Upon complaining, we received angry communications, trying to invalidate our very horrible experiences. For Catania, where 77 euros is a lot of money, the room was incredibly pricey and for that money one can get a beautiful room with high hygienic standards. Finally, there was no breakfast available on site, and everything they provide is a card for a business that they subcontract the breakfast to. I want to repeat that the photos on “booking” are highly deceptive, portraying an instagrammed version of this very old, dirty, and literally disgusting place. In the end, we decided to get another hotel in the city. I advise everyone not to repeat our mistake.

My friend and I stayed here for a few days in September for the duration of our visit to Catania. Martina was so lovely and helpful - she recommended restaurants, gave us information on navigating the local public transportation system and went out of her way to accommodate us in any way she could. The rooms were spacious, clean and the air con was a god send! We will definitely be back - thanks to Martina and her staff for a lovely stay.

The hotel staff assisted us in arranging transport from Comiso when our flight was changed from Catania with less than 24 hrs notice. We are a family of four with two teenage boys. We stayed for two nights. The staff were helpful on arrival and the room Ah, the women was a good size with great bathroom and balcony. The the ceiling is decorated in a traditional Sicilian style and added to the atmosphere of our trip. Despite being in a central location the shutters and windows made for a quiet night. The breakfast was good with attentive staff. I would recommend this hotel as being just out of the central bustle of Catania but close enough to allow easy walking to all the major sights. Check out the crypts of the church at the bottom of the street. 2€ each for a personal tour.

Ideal location in the center of Catania, room equipped with air conditioning, wardrobe, bedside table, desk and TV, guaranteed internet access. Change of towels, neat and clean bathroom, equipped with shower gel and shampoo. For breakfast you can provide yourself, using the coffee machine with pods, or the one for tea, but the owners also prepare everything for you in the tray. Owners themselves helpful, welcoming and kind, I highly recommend staying here.
