Hotel Splendid Mare

Hotel unobtainable as there are no signs. Hotel with a maximum of 1 star and not 4 as on the sites (in my opinion he bought the other 3) on the quotes that do what they write does not correspond to the truth. Dirty and chipped uneven plates, jugs for the same drinks, very poor food. I had booked for 4 nights but after the first I ran away from disappointment

Good morning we were very satisfied with the service of this splendid hotel from the waitresses to the cleaning services, all kind. I highly recommend it, thank you for this stay, my children were happy!

This is my personal opinion after a week's holiday with family and children: Hotel with a decadent structure. It is not a family hotel as you would expect from the website and quote, but a 90s hotel with a slide and a plastic castle instead of a gym. Pros: A stone's throw from the beach. Animation. Cozy room by the pool. Goodwill of the dining room staff. Cons: it does not have all the services of a 4 star. (luggage service? Gym? Bathrobes?) Pool area bar not functioning, with cracked windows and used as a storage room for broken exercise equipment. Cold pool, not heated. Buffet restaurant with food in my opinion of mediocre quality for a 4 star in Emilia-Romagna. More like a company canteen. Little variety of foods for children. Dessert at the end of the meal only if you arrive very early and rush to the table where it is served. Tablecloth remained dirty for almost the entire duration of the stay (changed only once). Water jugs impossible to find if you don't arrive as soon as the restaurant opens and more often than not you find them dirty or it wasn't clear if they had been cleaned. Children's play area near the restaurant in disarray and apparently not very clean. Cold shower in the evening from 7pm onwards, 6 days a week. Playground on the 2nd floor organized inside the old UNmanned gym area and with open windows near the structure where the children jump and climb (the parapet is at about 1 meter from the floor, but under the window there was a mattress), in my opinion quite dangerous. Ground floor entrance area used for clearing, with also a broken and half-disassembled go-kart covered by a pink sheet. Access to the seafront avenue not possible from the hotel gate because it is closed but possible by passing in front of the disused Carlo's restaurant. Carlo's restaurant used as a tool shed and with the wooden patio half destroyed with the floorboards rising. The patio is unfortunately accessible to children who risk getting hurt (the area is poorly cordoned off). The all-inclusive soft drink formula seems like half a thing to me because there is no control over the water and soft drink dispensing machines, so much so that anyone can use them. Potentially even outside the structure. However, coffees are not included, you have to pay for them. I saw no control over who enters and exits the facility. It seems that anyone can enter both from the street side and from the seafront side even at night through the disused Carlo's restaurant and access the external part of the rooms overlooking the swimming pool, where strollers, games and costumes are usually placed. Note: Our room at pool level was properly soundproofed but the entrance door (already forced several times given the notable marks of screwdrivers or other tools on the external frame) blocked on the second day, locking us in and forcing us to call the

My husband, I and our 4 year old daughter stayed in this property for New Year's Eve. We had a very good time especially thanks to the staff... kind, attentive and helpful room staff. Another highlight is the entertainment for children. Engaging activities for all ages. A special thank you goes to Giulia, very sweet and careful with our little girl. Thank you with all my heart.

I have traveled from Mount Fuji to the Grand Canyon and I know the hotels and what makes the stars different. This Splendid Hotel, supposedly 4 stars, bears only the name. The rooms are fine but the swimming pool is an unheated greenish pond as their advertising indicates and it is surely dangerous for children. There is a robot that collects the bottom of the pool all night but the filtration is almost nil. The entertainment exists but remains succinct and no games possible in the swimming pool cfr. pond. In the restaurant, the staff works hard but the organization is pitiful and if you don't take all your dishes at the same time, you have to queue every time and you will spend more time standing than eating. You will therefore eat rather cold. If you are looking for a salt shaker, ... don't look, there is 1 for the whole restaurant. The all-inclusive rate only entitles you to a soda machine, you will not have a coffee or even a cheap cocktail. And the price remains 4 stars. And all this in July.

Sconsigliato!non è un 4 stelle.. forse lo era una volta!cibo scarsissimo sia come quantità che come qualità, tutto servito a buffet.. se arrivavi per ultimo non trovavi quasi più nulla! Ho fatto presente che il Wi fi non funzionava, il proprietario a mo di battuta mi ha detto che era colpa del iPhone e mi consigliava di prendere un Samsung!quindi per tutta settimana sono stata senza. La piscina era sporca, acqua torbida e verdognola. In camera la porta della doccia non si chiudeva bene. Fatto presente tutto al proprietario, chiedo uno sconto, con aria molto scocciata mi fa uno sconticinio ritenendo che non ci fosse nessun problema ecc.. L’unica nota positiva la gentilezza del personale! Non ci tornerò mai più anche perché paghi per un servizio a 4 stelle e se va bene ne vale per 2!

Buon Soggiorno per capodanno, abbiamo trascorso con amici e parenti l ultimo dell anno a Cattolica, alla struttura convenzionata dell hotel spendid, ambiente familiare, cucina tradizionale, con animazione per i bambini a due passi dal centro dove abbiamo visto i fuochi d artificio dalla struttura dopo il gran cenone di fine anno, ottima vacanza
