Excellent staff, they were all so friendly always greeting you every time as they see you and helpful especially the front desk receptionist Claribel. She was informative of what I wanted to know and she also was able to solve most of my problems that occurred while I stayed at there very nice resort.

Hotel in general that needs an update, it shows that it is a few years old. The service and attention of the employees, for me the best of the hotel, at least from my experience. The food leaves something to be desired, apart from the fact that there is not always everything. It is worth booking at the Malecón restaurant, both the service and the food are better than in the self-service. And the beach bar is also a good idea because of the surroundings and the tranquility. Regarding the animation, the boys/girls try it although without many results. The shows at night are good in general, although they shouldn't let so much time pass between them and the disco. Almost more than an hour passes between one and the other and people get cold. The beach is not wide and quite dirty with algae and so on. Although they try to take care of her daily. I think overall it is good value for money. But for a better beach go to Playa Pilar or one of another hotel.

Well, for Cuba this is an average normal hotel.
But this is somewhere around 3 stars.
The huge downside is an incredible number of mosquitoes and even more flies. It is impossible to live in peace.
Food - the choice is standard for Cuba, even quite good.
Otherwise, nothing unusual.
+ I can’t select.
Only if you drink, they pour it non-stop, mostly beer.
But this is such a plus. They do this everywhere and I don’t see anything good in it.
Shabby, old. It will do for 2 out of 5.

Cute little resort. Great staff. Beautiful ocean. Amazing Spanish coffee in the lobby made by chicho. Quick ride from the airport. They have shows nightly. There are 2 stores to buy gifts and rum. Theres nothing better than the beautiful beach, there’s a little restaurant and bar.

The people are wonderful and treat you very well. Chico the bartender in the main lobby is a very friendly man who is always happy to see you. His Spanish coffee itself is almost worth the trip. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a great time in Cuba.

This was my second trip to Cayo Coco. I was disappointed by the first resort I'd stayed at but loved the area, and refusing to believe all resorts in the area were the same, I tried Hotel Mojito. I am so happy that I did. This resort is fantastic. While there are many things I loved about the resort (the well-kept beautiful beaches with no shortage of chairs, the beachside bar and grill, the buffets with many good food options which only ran out of bacon and eggs one day, the clean and comfortable rooms, the bars which didn't run out of any alcohol during my stay, the beautiful grounds, the pools) it was the staff who really made this place a home away from home. The staff are so friendly and treat you like family. In particular, the entertainment team went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a blast. A special shout-out to Polito on the entertainment team, who very clearly puts his heart into his job and doesn't stop until everyone is smiling! My only complaint was a low-pressured shower with lukewarm water - but the rest more than makes up for it. I would return again without question!

Candy, Chictto, Alain were very attentive and helpful. Recommended some good coffee. Very fast and friendly while we were waiting for our room to get ready. Run drinks and coffee kept flowing. Happy with their service. Definitely recommend them.

We went to Cuba - Cayo Coco - Mojito resort (former El Senador) between Feb 08 - Feb 20, 2025 with a group of friends. We flew with Air Transat, and the flight was good. We arrived at a packed Jardines del Rey (Cayo Coco) airport (4 planes arrived about the same time), so it took a while to clear the customs and pick our luggage. However the resort is pretty close to the airport; it took us about 20-25 minutes by bus to get there (and just 10 minutes on the way back). The checkin process was pretty quick. Joel at the reception was very helpful, sharp and patient with various guests demands. He speaks English very well and he's great to chat with when he's not busy with other guests. The resort is pretty big, but there were not more than about 100 tourists. We got rooms in 2 of the buildings closest to the main attractions. We picked a room on the top floor just to avoid bugs (btw in Cuba the ground level is counted as 1st floor). The rooms do not have balconies (unless you are on the ground floor in which case there is a small patio area where you can put your chairs). Rooms are basic and dated, but large, bright, useable and pretty clean. Double beds, TV, fridge, coffee maker, safe, even bidet, but no fan in the bathroom. The faucet, fixed shower head and the tub are dated and a bit awkward to use. A few times the water pressure was low, or water was lukewarm, but it wasn't a major discomfort. We were provided soap, shower gel and shampoo; also bottled water for drinking. We were lucky we got Olga, the nicest and best maid. She did a great job on keeping the room clean and nice, and accommodate all our requests. She speaks English pretty well, so we had some pleasant conversations with her. We ended up feeling like family. We made sure we appreciated all her efforts. One of the couples who came with us they have some health challenges, so they got a special unit on the ground floor, with fixtures for reduced mobility. When you do your booking you just have to ask for that. As I already mentioned the resort is very big. Half of it had been damaged by a hurricane some years ago, and it got closed since. The Mojito half is still a sprawling complex. Just 2 or 3 of the buildings seemed populated at this time. After the checkin, we went to eat something, then we went to the beach. The beaches in Cayo Coco are the main asset. Kilometers of white floury sand, shallow waters and azure blue ocean. There are no boats going back and forth, noisy and stinky, no annoying beach peddlers, no kitschy structures. Just serenity and great weather. This place is perfect if you need some quiet corner of unspoiled beautiful nature and ocean. The ocean water does not get deep until like a hundred meters from the shore, and is clean of weeds and crystal clear. So it is perfect for both kids and adults. There are a few rocks formations, and there are some colonies of fish hanging around. Bring a snorkel to take a closer look. They are fun to watch, as they are also wa

This is my 2nd time at this hotel. Food is good, service is EXCELLENT. I am an older woman and now travel solo. I needed a place where I felt safe and I didn’t want to be bothered by venders. Best beach is here lots of space. Thanks to Captain Roberto, Lixander, Chicho, Alain, Luis, Ideal, Oscar, Guille and Yoselly whose service at the bar was impeccable.

Staff very friendly, rooms a bit run down but clean, water pressure in shower abysmal. The bedding is very clean and beds are comfortable. Bring warmer pjs for sleeping. The pool is beautiful and the beach primo. The food is what you expect for Cuba, "you don't come for the food".
