The only word i can describe is that it is spectacular. The buffet breakfast was one of the best i have ever seen. So much variety. The room is clean and big. However, the carpet along the corridor kinda smells moist/ musty smell. Other than that, i really have nothing to pick on. Everyone is so helpful and kind. I had a fall and wanted somthing to help me clean my wound. The front desk sent up a nurse to make sure i am alright. There is always someone greeting you at every point of the hotel, so welcoming. Definitely will come back here again.

Pros Perfect place for relaxation. Recommended for those who like to have staycation wity friends or family. Nice city view with a mountain. Pool and bar in 21st floor is nice. Staffs are very kind and approachable. They have 2 key cards access to rooms. You can leave your things right after check out while waiting for your late flight. Cons Mininal only like no hairdryer, limited access to TV channels, lady guard in bag scanning seems impolite to locals than foreign tourist, maybe tired. Though, overall all good experience. Like to stay again soon.

This visit to Marco Polo truly saddened me. If you read some of my past reviews of this hotel I noted it was my favorite place to stay anywhere in the world. This was my first post Covid visit and I was shocked and disappointed. - Basic maintenance has not been completed. For example, there is a glass elevator that goes to Blu their rooftop restaurant. This elevator was out of order and when I asked why I was told “Covid.” Covid travel restrictions were lifted a long time ago and that’s no excuse. In a second example, we returned to our room after a long night and the key did not work. It turned out the battery in the electronic device on the door needed to be replaced and the front desk understand the issue immediately, so this must happen often. Good hotels replace these batteries on a schedule so the guests never suffer from dead batteries. - Service, which used to be outstanding?@, is now unacceptable. First, the English language skills of most employees we encountered were sub par. Second, the person who checked me in was being trained, so the check in process was very slow. Third, service at the poolside bar during lunch was slow, the waitstaff inattentive and they failed to include my banana shake on the bill so as we are leaving the grab us and give us a second bill to pay. Fourth, service at breakfast was terrible. I had to ask for black tea three times before I got it, seeking some out 3 times as no one ever came to check on us. When we arrived around 9 AM there was no bacon (later replenished with bacon that looked so bad I did not even try it, fatty and not crisp), there was 1 banana, which was never replenished, there were no juice glasses (later replenished). The food quality was adequate but not nearly up to pre-Covid standards. Overall the service was lacking. - I was also disappointed that the lobby lounge, which used to have live music every night now has piano music only and only 1 night per week I am told. - There was a cart of dirty linens in our hallway both days Some of these things are not expensive or hard to fix. It doesn’t cost a lot to have live music in the lounge nightly as there are lots of singers groups looking for opportunities. It doesn’t cost a lot to make sure you change door card batteries regularly Others are basic requirements if doing business. For example you don’t leave a glass elevator to one of the most expensive restaurants in Cebu out of order for month/years. I am purchasing a condo unit in Marco Polo residences and expected to regularly visit the hotel for meals/drinks, but if this is the quality and service we can expect, then I will not be utilizing their services.

I had a wonderful Christmas Hotel 2022 Staycation experience courtesy of the Main Hotel and Suites located in Barangay Banilad in the City of Cebu. This is my 21st Hotel-Resort-Farm-Campground Staycation in total here in Cebu since Christmas 2020. I instantly noticed most of their guests are foreign tourists. I easily feel the warmth the moment they welcomed me and I could feel at home away from home with their kind and accommodating staff like the  Housekeeping personnel, Irene Tolentino who carry my traveling bag to my standard queen room while having my vlogging, and Stanlee Montecalvo for the maintenance for something that needs to be fixed with Security Guard Jonathan Mendoza who act as my cameraman and delivered all my needs in the room. All these things are made possible by Front Office Associate Joyce Villanueva from the booking reservations up until our constant communication as she instantly answered all my queries and requests weeks before my stay. I got the biggest surprise when I was given that amazing Christmas gift hotel room upgrade on that Christmas morning when Front Office Associate Sheila Matuguina handed me the key for the Main Suite Room with a king-size bed, a sofa, a spacious shower & toilet, a personal refrigerator, a kettle, safety deposit box and has a small balcony overlooking the city view. I could still remember this beautiful serene Christmas night when I powered off all the lights while I was seating on top of my big king-size mattress with large soft pillows at my back and on my head while leaning on the wall. I was deeply mesmerized by the beauty of the city by night from the main suite room window. I couldn't imagine that I can have this kind of wonderful celebration on Christmas night blessed with good weather and a good climate. Two years ago, we were in quarantine and social distancing with strict protocol to follow brought by the Covid-19 pandemic, and a year ago, we are to deal with the devastating aftermath of super typhoon Odette without power, no water supply, limited supply of food, most houses were destroyed and several families were homeless. No wonder they have been awarded Tripadvisor's Travelers' Choice Award winning for consecutive years for the kind of service they have given me. With this track record, now I know the reason why travelers both local and foreign nationals choose to stay here because I, myself personally experience it.

Great city view. Room size is above average meaning bigger than other deluxe Seda rooms we’ve been to. Misto resto is with a great view but it can be easily get full and refill takes time especially the bacon. There is direct access to the Mall which is a good thing however there is not much yet in the Central Block Mall but the basics are there. It could have been 5 star if not for the front desk who called in the middle of the night 10:30pm. They interrupted our sleep for a mistake. We were asleep when they called to ask if we’re done with the iron and board which we previously requested but declined because there was no available. Other than that, it was a great 2N/3D. We’ll comeback when in town.

Stayed in Citi Park for 4 nights for a business trip. We had a very comfortable stay. 😊♥️ Staff are courteous, warm and helpful. Room (good for 2) is spacious, clean and well lighted. Strong wifi connection (most of the time). Accessible and is near to food establishments and convenience stores. The cable service for the TV is not working, but we didn’t mind it that much since most of the time we just stay there to rest. 😅😊 Thank you for a superb stay! 😊

Stayed for 4D3N in the family suite. The place really is a great value for money. The decors and furniture are a bit old fashioned, but obviously cleaned and maintained. I can't emphasize enough how hospitable their staff were! The service was not 100% perfect but the staff's warmth is enough to make us feel well taken care of at this hotel. The place is walking distance from some cafes, convenient stores, and restaurants, and if you don't mind walking for about 10-15 minutes, you can walk to IEC convention center (purpose of our stay) and Ayala Center Cebu. A little heads up, if you're attending a conference at IEC, note that traffic tends to be heavy at F. Cabahug St. that's why we often opted to walk. If we ever have another business in the area, I will definitely book this hotel again! Two things that made me hesitant to give a 5-star review are the breakfast buffet and the carpeted room. The breakfast buffet selection was weird for breakfast and is more suitable for lunch. It's delicious and filling, but I don't really feel like eating chicken curry, pochero, and the like in the morning. There are staples like bread, eggs, cereal, and fried rice, but was kinda hoping for classic Filipino breakfast like tapa, longganisa and such. As for the carpet, it's more of a personal preference. I'm not a big fan of carpets coz I don't think they're as thoroughly cleaned as vinyl or tiled floors.

OK, I start at 3 stars for providing what I paid for and go up or down from there. I feel I got good value for the money I paid. I booked online and got a substantial discount (paid 1400 PHP) on the standard rate. For the Philippines it’s a good try at a high end western hotel, but not quite. The area is good, safe, amenities and close to downtown and IT Park. My room was huge! You could play basketball in it 🤣. Good bed and linens. Shower and bathroom good. Kettle, coffee and water provided. Smart TV great, I left it logged in to whoever’s Netflix it was already in, you’re welcome ☺️. Now the iffy bits. Note, you have to b!tch repeatedly to get things fixed. The internet is shambolic. It was running at 5mbps. I complained and they installed a router in my room. That didn’t actually work properly and couldn’t be bothered to fight so I installed my travel router. Blazing fast (50mbps) internet 😊. No fridge in room 🤷‍♂️😞. The place is new, but not being maintained well, a Philippines problem all over. Rainfall shower sprayed upwards soaking the bathroom. Funky led light up faucet was very loose, just a matter of time before pipes burst. Grime starting to build up in the corners. BOTTOM LINE - it’s good for the 1400 PHP I paid but I would be disappointed at the full rate. Wow, you read all this 😳. Pls hit the helpful button 👍

Stayed here for 6 night holiday. Location is good for restaurants and shops, other ares of Cebu easily reached by taxi. Good service from friendly staff, especially restaurant staff at breakfast. Breakfast was OK, food was regularly replenished. Choice could have been better. Hotel and room were clean. The shower was poor with not much power so not much water. The towels were old and they did not provide hand towels. The air conditioner was noisy which was a problem at night. It is and average hotel but could be improved.

The building is brand new, less than a year old. I choose Cebu family suites because I wanted a suite rather than a hotel. I wanted the larger size of a suite but the biggest differentiating factor is having a kitchen, as I like to have at least one home cooked meal a day when traveling. There is a basic store at the lobby where you can buy some ingredients. Staff is friendly and very helpful, arranging transportation and meals. Amenities include a gym and a large function room. Breakfast is included. It was a relatively short stay for me this time, but on my next visit I will definitely stay here again. And at these prices, I can afford to stay longer.
