The room I was assigned had a large window in the bathroom, with a roller blind installed.
However, due to the structure of the roller blind, it did not fully cover the bottom part of the window, meaning the outside was still visible. This made me very uncomfortable, and I could not even change clothes to take a shower without worrying about being seen.
In addition, there was a gap between the roller blind and the wall. Through that gap, I could clearly see the building immediately next door. This also meant that someone outside could potentially see me sitting on the toilet, which made me hesitant to use the bathroom at all.
I asked to change rooms, but the room I was shown instead was a smoking room, and the smell was very strong. As a result, I had no choice but to use the original room.
I was told that nothing could be done about the curtain and that I should use the room as it was, which I found extremely unpleasant.
In the end, the staff used tape to attach the curtain to the wall and close the gap. However, I find it highly questionable that the bathroom was designed in such a way that the toilet area could be visible from outside.
