Hotel Mountview

The hotel has filthy and unclean rooms. I went with my family and had to change 3-4 rooms to get a clean roo which was still not upto the standards but just livable. The furniture is old and ther were bugs and mosquitoes. The entire corridor was smelly due to the carpet and food lying outside the rooms. The next day I got throat infection and had to leave the hotel. Please do not stay here, its terrible and a complete waste of money. Lastly we had the morning breakfast but that was also below average. I wonder how its famous, I would not even give it one star. I am also attaching photos for proof.

Of late, have started staying at Mountview when visiting Chandigarh. It gets back all the nostalgic memories of 20 years back when we used to stay in Chandigarh. Remember the lip smacking Chinese food at Magic Wok and how we used to come to their dining restaurant for the most amazing cheese omelette on Sunday mornings. Also realised, there is no substitute for experience. Believe they would have the most vintage employees working for them. The service levels are the same, to put it straight - amazing ! The rooms/ infrastructure could do with some catching up with the newer top notch names that have now come in Chandigarh. But when you get the kind of service that wows you, who cares as much. Afterall you’re staying only for 1-2 nights ! Rock on fellas !

UK to india review - Quite a dated/old hotel, and the rooms could do with a deep clean and update. However, gym is very modern. Food is good. No bottled water given at dinner, Service is good. For the price id say its worth it. Location is good and garden is nice.

Location is great but very old amenities need to be renovated. Food quality is very bad room condition is very bad. Lot of people working but they are not efficient people. Breakfast and food quality is very poor

Old fashioned PSU run property which shows all signs of aging including the staff. Staff is responsive and courteous. But still very functional and the old wing rooms are good size and overlook lawns. Breakfast has several options and is well laid out. Nice bed with clean sheets and towels. Also had buffet dinner and the food was nice and palatable. There was live music which added to the experience. Toiletries functional though some could have been better.

Had a short and memorable trip to my alma mater in sector 12. I knew the hotel was good once and happy to know it’s still doing well. Food is decent, service good and large rooms. Issue is hotel is old and needs a renovation urgently. I know that may not happen.

Hotel Mountview is a high-end-hotel, beautifully articulated, and surrounded by sprawling green lawns, is a perfect place to stay with friends, family and even business travellers can enjoy their stay. There are two upscale restaurants, plus a trendy bar/lounge, “Vintage terrace Lounge Bar”, a salon, in-house boutique and The Nail Studio By Simran Grewal. There’s a free breakfast buffet served in a 24-hour coffee shop. Other amenities include a fitness room, plus a sauna, a hot tub and an outdoor pool, free WiFi, comfortable checking hours. During my recent trip to Chandigarh, I’d visited here with my Girl Gang for Coffee Date! We ordered; Cappuccino Coffee, very creamy and frothy. Masala Dosa, served with Sambar, Coconut & Tomato Chutneys. Mumbai Pav Bhaji, served in a unique way. ***i ke Kebabs, melt in the mouth. Garlic Bread and French Fries Believe me guys food was good both quality and quantity wise. Service was fast and staff was very friendly and helpful. I’ll love to visit again soon and stay here!

I’m not sure whether we got poor rooms because there were a number of weddings taking place but the rooms we got were a little shabby. Particularly the bathrooms which were in dire need of refurbishment. But worst of all was the general lack of cleanliness in some areas of the hotel. When the public corridor areas are so dirty (seriously, buy a vacuum cleaner and give it a clean every so often. It can’t be that tricky) you then feel uncomfortable lying in the bed or eating the breakfast, because you’re worried that lack of cleanliness will be repeated everywhere.

It is a good nice hotel ...Good view , convenient location...good overall experience...food is good...rooms are spacious...comfortable...toilets are clean..room services need to be improved to serve customers
