The experience was excellent. The place is new, only a year old, very clean, and spacious. The beds are incredibly comfortable, with just the right firmness; they could easily fit five people if pushed together. The down comforters were wonderful. The owner was fantastic, patiently recommending routes to us. Highly recommend this accommodation!

The homestay is in an alley in the ancient city, which is a local residential area. The first floor is a residential structure of residents. It may be that the boss lives by himself. The 2-5 Building is the homestay room. The overall environment is clean, the room is relatively large, and the sanitary toiletries are basically disposable, so you can feel at ease. There is a small terrace on the 4th floor, where you can make tea, and there is a beverage vending machine, which is convenient. The room feels average, the room is not very big, a bit of tatami feeling, the tent is not attractive to my children, and the battery of the light is not electric. The pattern of which was thought to be a bed cover, the result was a cloth.

The house is owned by the boss himself. The decoration is about half a year. The new room is very clean and hygienic. Many of the local shops that locals love to go to are very cheap. Yak beef, chopping board, and duck blood are all delicious. There is a shop on the side of the road a few steps. Not far from the river, walk for three to five minutes, it is very convenient to go to the ancient city, take a taxi about 10 yuan.

In Tingzhou we had the great privilege of staying in a heritage building converted into a BnB, and this building has an even crazier story - it was the imperial stage-post of Tingzhou, dating back to the reign of Emperor Chenghua of Ming (late 1400s). In the Yuan Dynasty, the Mongolian empire was so massive that it became necessary to develop what was likely the most efficient postal system the world had ever seen up till then. In the following Ming Dynasty, China inherited and refined the imperial postal system so that there was an abundance of stage-posts in the empire to provide lodging for couriers delivering imperial edicts, and traveling officials. If you think it’s expensive to stay in such a gorgeous and unique building, think again. We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and value for money of this place, as well as the friendliness of the staffs.

For a spontaneous trip with my best friend, this guesthouse right next to the Jichuan Gate of the ancient city wall was the perfect choice. The location is phenomenal, with attractions and restaurants within easy reach. The guesthouse has a charming, antique feel, the rooms are spotless, and attention to detail is evident throughout. The tranquil environment is ideal for a relaxing vacation. [Thumbs up]

The wisest decision I made on this trip to Changting was choosing the Song Ci Hangzhan Hotel! As a four-star hotel, it perfectly blends historical charm, a superb location, and modern comfort, making for a fantastic stay. A hotel in the heart of the ancient city! The windows offer views of the Tingjiang River, and it's super convenient to walk to Jichuan Gate and Shuidong Street. The modern Chinese-style rooms are clean and smartly equipped, the bedding is so comfortable I didn't want to get out of bed, and the front desk even provided helpful travel tips. Parking is reimbursed for those driving, making it incredibly cost-effective. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Changting!

A strategically located hotel which is within walking distance of distance to many interesting places. Food is easily accessible and yummy. Night scenery is great with multi coloured lighting. Nice to walk around and enjoyed watching people dancing in the open spaces. Local herbs are also available if u are interested in local Chinese herbs for brewing tea and herbal soups. During the day it is nice to walk around early in the nearby walking streets where u can find interesting architecture of the olden days. Well kept but can do with more explanation about the history and info about the local culture and customs. Great place for taking instagram photos.

We were treated like part of the family; We even had dinner with them when they learned that we had not have our dinner On the morning we were leaving they gave us simple breakfast. Meals were not part of the deal!. Unfortunately we cut short our stay there and couldn't get a refund for the last night as I was not feeling well.
